Publisher's summary

The unabridged digital audio edition of Prince Caspian, book four in the classic fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia, narrated by Academy Award-nominated actor Lynn Redgrave.

The Pevensie siblings travel back to Narnia to help a prince denied his rightful throne as he gathers an army in a desperate attempt to rid his land of a false king. But in the end, it is a battle of honor between two men alone that will decide the fate of an entire world.

Prince Caspian is the fourth book in C. S. Lewis's classic fantasy series, which has been captivating readers of all ages with magical lands where animals talk and trees walk for over sixty years. This is a stand-alone novel, but if you would like to journey back to Narnia, listen to The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the fifth book in The Chronicles of Narnia.

Don't miss any of the books in C.S. Lewis' classic Chronicles of Narnia series.

Critic reviews

"This is an audio page-turner that will have you sitting in the car after you reach your destination just to hear the end of the chapter. Lynn Redgrave delivers a lively interpretation of the adventure, with a cultured British accent and nuances that give every character a unique voice." (AudioFile)

A+ Narration

This was a re-read for me in my adulthood. You can’t go wrong with C.S. Lewis and the Chronicles. Narration is always a risk for me—I’ve discovered I’m pretty picky, but the narrator did an excellent job. All the different voices and accents were distinct and creative (and accurate according to my own imagination) and her timing was always smooth and on point. Really enjoyable. Headed to the next book!

Great story

This ia a great story. I wish it had been narrated by Michael York. Would have been more enjoyable to listen to.

Awesome

I very much appreciated this story because it reminds me of when my grand mother would read the chronicles of narnia to us when we were young.

Excellent

This book is excellent. C.S. Lewis is a master story weaver. I read this book many years ago, and it is great to revisit it. The story is exciting, even for an adult. The narration is particularly good. This is definitely a "must read."

Good Escape from the Daily Grind

I was so tired of the news that I have been escaping into books for young people. You know, where good conquers evil and everything works out in the end. This is one of those stories. I appreciated knowing there would be no tricks or unreliable narrator etc and it fit the bill. I still think it is worth reading with children and discuss issues of class and royalty, and wartime suffering (children of england during WWII being sent to the country) that had occured. All the assumptions in the text are pretty far removed from today's children, especially in the US.
