My children (ages 8 and 11) and I are veterans of children's audiobooks, and we have truly enjoyed the first three books of this series. It has the right mix of adventure, fun and swashbuckling to keep their interest high throughout. We will hold Mossflower near and dear to our hearts as the introduction to this wonderful world of stories.
I've read these books before, but listening to them is a whole new adventure! I love the voices, they really animate everything. I adore these stories and will continue to download them and enjoy every bit of listening to them.
I love it so much it is so fun to listen to I loved it 😀😀😀😀
Admittedly, after seeing how much Martin the Warrior was built up in the first novel in the series, I had high expectations for this book. I was expecting the great hero and warrior to go on some grand adventure that forever shaped the land and would live up to the legend from the Redwall novel. Instead, it was a very basic "there and back" type tale, with an uninteresting and incompetent main villain. The side tail of the woodlanders, and some of those characters, was actually much more interesting and fun than the main storyline. While I did enjoy the novel overall, I do wish that there was more to the main puzzle that had to be solved that started them on their quest, more epicness to the journey and final battle, and that the villain was better.
love these books. brings me back to childhood. the full cast style really makes these recordings shine. It is also pretty self evident how much the author enjoyed these books by the effort he puts in to the recording. He is an amazing Cluny the scourge.
