Don't miss any of Brian Jacques' Redwall series.

"There is sacrifice, death, and bloody battles galore. Readers familiar with the series will relish returning to the Abbey." (School Library Journal)
Not in the same class as his first novels. Redwall was really very good. This novel did not add much to the series. A case of an author putting out books on a schedule rather than as a work of art.
This review is of the audiobook only. The story was exciting, but the audio was somehow off, needing to be adjusted almost constantly. The narration was very quiet, but the dialogue between characters was very loud. As we listened, we felt we were being harshly reprimanded. We only made it through book one, as we couldn't bear to listen to anymore of the story. Additionally, the narrator sounded like a cross between Alfred Hitchcock and Capt. Jack Sparrow. At times, his words were so slurred, we had no idea what was being said, even after backing it up and playing again. The character performers, however, were easily understandable...just very loud.
