Loved the read
Reader added great feeling to the story. Use different voices for different characters and sound effects. Great imagination and suspense. I enjoyed the story as well as my eight-year-old daughter.

Good story for young listeners
Mr. Fraser's performance was amazing. There are many character voices and magical creatures that have attitudes all their own.
I'd love to hear him narrate some more grown up book!

Cute story and fantastic narration!
I’ve listened to hundreds of audiobooks and Brenden Fraser is by far one of the best narrators. Each character is so distinct and different. It was so fun to listen. The story is cute and engaging but I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I had just read it.

Story was amazing, but the reader was.....
....in a class of his own. As a middle school teacher trying to stay in touch with what the kids read (as well as my own interests), I have listened to hundreds of titles in many genres... In Dragon Rider, Brendan Fraser was truly spellbinding!!!!

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and the voices, accents, inflections used by Brendan Frasier (George Of the Jungle, Ugly American) are absolutely amazing! I can't believe it. It's marvelous. Enough to make me want to listen to any and all the books he's narrated. My children loved it and I loved it. Cornelia Funke is a fabulous fantasy writer. What a great pairing.

Wonderful story, even better reader
I enjoyed this story more than The Thief Lord and Inkheart, and I tribute much of that to Funke, but Brendan Fraser brings this story to life in a way I've never heard before from a narrator. As a book, you would enjoy the story. As an audiobook, you won't stop smiling. This book is worth the normal price.

A wonderful book
This is my first Audible book ever, and because of that I am hooked on Audible!! I first listened to it on a road trip with my daughter. We both fell in love with the story, and Brendan Fraser is awesome at the Narration. His voices for each and every character, brought them to life. I recommend this book to everyone that loves this kind of story. I even got my husband to listen, and he really enjoyed it. He now is hooked on Audible too!!!!

Highly recommended
My son (age 7) and I greatly enjoyed this one. The plot is engrossing and the characters memorable. Brendan Frasier's naration is inspired - he has an impressive talant for using different voices.
