Greear (Gospel, Stop Asking Jesus into Your Heart) believes the postmortems are premature. Jesus promised to build his church. He said that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. The church is not going away. Along with this promise, Jesus gave clear instructions for how the church would prevail. He promised to build it on the rock of the gospel.

Just right!
Great book on how to get your prayer life moving in the right direction. Pastor Greear provides practical suggestions on improving your prayer life. The narration is good and not preachy. He ends the text with ten practical ways on starting (or improving) your prayer life.

Practical insight!
I enjoyed the breakdown of the Lord's Prayer. And the suggestions in the conclusion provide a great approach to try when starting to pray regularly.

I was sad when it was over!
The author has a real talent for voiceover! Once I golfed the book (in two days), I went back and revisited 3 of the chapters. There’s so much to chew on. I’m joining my church’s prayer team, and I think it was the perfect book to get my heart in the right place!

A Must Read!!!!
I really enjoyed reading the book Just Ask. It started as a bible study group read, and I have to admit when we first started I was all in to it. But as we got further along God started to open my eyes up more to what JD was saying, and more so self reflect to my prayer life. Through reading this book I’ve gained a lot of insight and am excited to apply the take aways to my new and improved prayer life. Thank you JD, and thank you Lord for opening me up to what JD had written!
