Not what I expected in the best way possible

Well worth the credit for 4 books. The story was written with a mix of modern and historical cultural references, that not only makes it fun but also has a degree of educational value. The caddy shack, 3 stooges and other references had me actually laughing out loud at times. The characters are also very relatable so anyone who reads these books will have someone in the story they relate to and will keep them from putting this story down.

A Suitably entertaining Knock Off

A Watered down version/Knock off of what can be best described as a Good knockoff of a Prime series.
This, a decent knock off of the Iron Druid series, which itself is a Genre/Style Knockoff trying to illicit comparisons to the Dresden Files.

As a cheap Read for pure entertainment/Time Burn this will suit the need. Though, you will not be as fulfilled or entertained as with the series this looks up to emulate; you will still derive entertainment.

perfect for this moment

I read for escapism and to relearn language after seziures cause a bit of a scrambled egg situation. This multiple book audiobook was perfect for helping me thru the breakdowns of the last few ... weeks? months... years? Irrelevant. What's important is the author's skill in helping me detach from the fml situation and that while the main and supporting characters are true to form and extremely flawed with his coping mechanisms being front and center to the storyline; he's not so flawed that I want to throw the jerk in the pits of Hell and let him Steep awhile.

great if you can hang in there past the first book

overall great. the first book was a little little predictable and annoying in the beginning but still a great story and sets everything up. I'm buying the next in the box series too.

Worthy entry to the genre

While not quite up to the early Dresden books or the Iron Druid series it is definitely worth reading. It does get a little dark in spots and some events seem a little too convenient. However, the world building is believable, the characters well developed and the plot line has enough twists to keep your interest.

Interesting series

I love that they merged the books together for long trips and truck driving. The voice acting was excellent as well.

A Great fantasy series

This reminds me a lot of the Dresden files with the good character development, fascinating storylines, and the reluctant hero! You will get addicted more with each book, bravo MD Massey

thumbs up

I really liked the narrator and the story line. It's a good twist on old folk tales with good writing.

Relatability to the characters struggles.

I like the fact that the author used actual pl es and roads. Brought realism to fantasy.
