Some gems but too long

London provides frequent insights and gems of knowledge as he narrates his life story through the lens of a glass of whiskey. It was interesting, but unfortunately too long and a bit repetitive, as other reviewers have stated. Jack London has long been a favorite author of mine, so I listened more to hear his autobiography and to learn about his worldview than to hear his thoughts on drinking. I found all three topics of this book worthwhile. The narrator did an excellent job.

thought provoking

If you've struggled with alcohol jack gi ves interesting insight. Having read a few of his other books. particularly Burning Daylight I can see it all come into play.

Boring and repetitive

The majority of this book is just about how the author didn’t like to drink but he did it anyways to fit in with the other sailor guys. Maybe it would resonate more with people who have issues with drinking but I couldn’t even finish it because I was so uninterested in the outcome.
The narrator was fine enough but sounds like an automated computer voice sometimes
