Great guide for beginners

Admittedly I am not a computer geek. I know enough to get me by and that's about it, but having a website and running into some issues that kept telling me there was a java issue I knew I needed to learn something about it. This book explained things and help me make sense of it enough that I'm no longer terrified of addressing the issue. Its explained in a way that I could understand which was a huge plus.

Love it

Just a suggestion, maybe the author can create a bundled book of these programming guides so people can just purchase one book and learn different kinds of programming.

Great Beginners Introduction to JavaScript

This is a beginner's book. This isn't a book on how to program. This is a book to help beginners learn the syntax and structure of JavaScript with the view that understanding the basics is essential to understanding more complex subjects.

A highly effective learning method

This book is excellent. It packages the material in very short chapters -- most are two or three pages -- and then provides interactive exercises for each chapter on a website. There are twenty little problems for each chapter. This contrasts sharply with the dry and non-engaging presentation of virtually any other technical book
