If you're planning to visit Puerto Rico, it's a great idea to learn some basic phrases and expressions in the local dialect to make your experience smoother and more enjoyable. That's where a Puerto Rican audio course targeted at tourists comes in handy.
This course is designed to teach you how to understand and speak Puerto Rican Spanish, with a specific focus on common tourist situations. The course is includes different topic areas, such as hotels, restaurants, shopping, airports, and directions. Each theme includes a variety of expressions and vocabulary that you might encounter in that situation.
For example, in the hotel unit, you learn how to check in and understand the features of your room. In the restaurant unit, you might learn how to make a reservation, order food and drinks, and ask for the check. In the shopping unit, you might learn how to ask for help finding a specific item and make purchases.
You can listen and learn to the 10 progressive sessions at your own pace. The course is narrated by a native Puerto Rican speaker, so you'll be able to hear the proper pronunciation and intonation of the words and phrases in the Puerto Rican dialect, which as you'll hear is distinct from other Spanish dialects in terms of pronunciation and word selection.
By the end of the course, you'll have a solid foundation in Puerto Rican Spanish and be able to communicate effectively in common tourist situations to enhance your travel experience.
