Steamy, well-written and emotionally catching

This was a no-nonsense story. No padded side stories or unnecessary distractions. Just action and... *action*.

The #1 catch for me here was the female narrator, Vivienna LaRue. Damn. Just... damn! So good!

Great Story From Beginning To End

4.5 out of 5 stars

I did NOT know that Infiltrate was going to be a duet narration – this is one of the first ones I’ve read. It’s definitely the first one that’s in the romance category (where I believe it’s much more common).

I went into this one knowing that this was written by an author I enjoy but had some more adult parts to it – so I went in knowing it was more harem/romance than science fiction – but I will say – Knowles does a fantastic job writing a story that shines in both genres. And as the story progressed there were more romantic scenes but also had a lot of typical LitRPG/Sci-Fi scenes as well. The action in this one picks up from the very start and doesn’t let up.

The thing that surprised me the most about this story was how compelling it really was. Sure there were harem parts and sure there was some sect fighting and manipulation but it was such a good story without all of those things. I don’t know why I’m so surprised by this since I know this author pretty well and I know that their work always leaves me feeling good when I finish their books. But this one was genuinely enjoyable from beginning to end. Knowles writes characters that were compelling and likable. But also put them into situations where no matter what happened I liked them even more after the situation they were in (trying not to spoil).

Speaking of the duet narration – Noel Harrison and Vivienne LaRue absolutely knock this one out of the park. I don’t think I’ve listened to any of the books they’ve performed before but I will be on the lookout for more books by them in the future. They both crushed this performance and really became the characters.

Overall, this was a fun read from beginning to end. Sci-Fi and LitRPG fans will enjoy it and those who like romance and harem stories will also get a kick out of the non-romance elements. A great book from beginning to end.

fighting, intrigue and sex

If those words fit your wheelhouse you should be good with this one. I have not listened to the main series, but did not feel like I was missing pieces.

I have no problem with the content of the book nor was it badly written overall it was fine. However, I just did not see a real fluid story it just felt very rushed I felt there should have been a little bit more story details and plot build-up instead of bouncing from situation A all way to situation E.

Delightfully Refreshing

Loved it from beginning to end. The only problem I had with the story was some of the terms they used for different things that wasn’t immediately explained took away from the immediate enjoyment of the story for me. Not everyone is familiar with Japanese Anime so a lot of the phrases used went right over my head. Other than that it was a great story and I’m looking forward to book 2!

Amazing narration

Very interesting futuristic martial world with a cultivation magic system. The book hits the ground running and we are left to figure things out as the story plays out. The world is very interesting so much so that I wish the book was longer. There is quite a bit of sex in a harem style. The underlying story is very cool and engaging. The narration is extremely well done. Having two narrators takes this book to another level.

And the spy will Infiltrate.

The MC, Kei, is in a battle to be able to stay in his guild and with his love, but his opponent cheated like a little bitch and Kei gets sent to the boss's office after the humiliating defeat. Instead of just kicking Kei out, the boss sends him as a spy to infiltrate the opposition guild where he meets a couple more women he wants to make a harem with.
I'm really not doing this amazing book justice with my review here.
Knowles weaves a great tale, and the narration is on point.
If you like HaremLit Sci-Fi, you are going to want to add this book, maybe series, to your library.
I'm giving book 1 a solid 6 out of 5 stars. 😁

Fun side story

If you have been immersed in Ocean Slayers Racing, this is a fun side story that will impact future stories. Quite a bit different from those books, it still features important insights in the worlds and systems of this universe. I enjoyed it immensely!

Enjoyable side story...

Narrators emphasized the well written story. Knowles' universe is looking more and more enjoyable.
