Publisher's summary

Recover from betrayal, move into forgiveness, and rebuild your relationship after the affair using the power of EFT (emotional freedom technique), affirmations, and journaling.

The pain of betrayal from a once-trusted partner is severe enough to be classed as a type of PTSD, with similar symptoms of hypervigilance, flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance of people and places, depression and anxiety.

In order to rebuild your marriage and move on after the affair, you need to be able to recover from and forgive the infidelity. Otherwise, you can remain stuck in a heart-breaking cycle of suspicion, bitterness, and blame. If the relationship is worth saving and your partner has made amends you need to be able to forgive even after your trust has been broken.

The answer is to deal with the pain of betrayal at a structural level using self-help tools that change your emotional state and create new paradigm shifts, so you can get past the pain and bitterness. These techniques work fast so you don't have to be stuck in a bad place for many months or even years, while your relationship deteriorates past saving.

In this workbook, you have the simple tools I use with my therapy clients to regain peace of mind, and forgive your partner so you can rebuild your relationship and deepen intimacy.

The Infidelity Recovery and Forgiveness EFT Affirmations Journaling Workbook helps to....

  • Overcome jealousy, anxiety, and betrayal in a relationship by changing your thoughts and beliefs
  • Heal the pain and rebuild the trust after being cheated on when your partner has been unfaithful
  • Move from bitterness to forgiveness fast

Give your relationship the best chance of thriving not just surviving by moving through the healing process as fast as possible, so you can work on your relationship, increase intimacy and reclaim the love you once shared.

Such a Great Resource

I highly recommend this book! Post covid there is a great deal of retrospective going around and what everyone needs to start doing is forgiving. This book covers forgiveness and renewal in toxic martial environs. After being hurt in a relationship it can be extremely painful to forgive and either work with the person to move forward with needed changes or more painfully, letting that someone go and moving forward on your own. It is best to forgive and move forward than to hold on to a relationship, half of which, may not be sincere in their admittance of wrongdoing or simply doesn’t care to make a change. You must do what’s right for you. Rightly so the author discusses the feelings of PTSD that can enter this type of betrayal. The important highlight the author notes is the need to identify your emotions and acknowledge what is happening. Simply burying your feelings or ignoring the matter and trying again, will only permit you to carry those same hurts both emotional and physical in to the future. The author provides coping strategies and positive self-talk to guide you forward and past the emotional and physical toll that infidelity can take on someone. This is a must listen.

This is the Real Deal!

I truly enjoyed this audiobook and wish I had come across this years ago! I really appreciated how the author encouraging forgiving and restoration without encouraging one to remain in a toxic environment. Yes, relationships are up and down, but the author lets us know that moving forward WITH a person who is apologetic and actively doing their best to change is different than moving forward with someone who is a serial cheater, pathological liar or gaslighter. This situation is best forgiving and letting go. Love it!

The author states that once a person experiences this type of betrayal, it’s possible to experience symptoms of PTSD when remembering the pain and situation. It can actually be physically painful as well as emotionally painful, and it’s important to acknowledge what we’re going through. I can Remember experiences heartbreak to the point that my chest actually started to hurt and I wondered why my body was experiencing these pains. Many years later, I truly understand why. This book will break it all the way down for you! :-)

The author spoke about EFT tapping strategy to reduce the impact of the strong negative emotions dealing with the hurt or betrayal. Wow! This is wonderful, as it can work for many types of relationships, not just romantic interactions.

The affirmations were ON Point! I was blessed by them tremendously. A few that really struck me:
“Other people get over pain. So can I. The quicker the better”. YES!!
“I completely love and accept myself”
“My love is stronger than my anger”.
“Nothing can break me. I have a steel core”! My goodness my goodness ! I loved these affirmations so much. But the one that had me saying AMEN in front of everyone while working out in the gym today : “Another person’s behavior does not define my worth” …Ok let me just leave that one right there along with a moment of silence…

I will more than likely re-listen to this book. Hopefully not because of trying to heal another broken relationship, but to encourage myself—fortifying and remembering who I am at all times.
