It’s the summer of ’77 in New York City, and the only thing more unnerving than the scorching heatwave is the rampant murder, leaving washed-up homicide detective Richard Dietrich on edge. When Dietrich investigates a brutal mob hit the brass doesn’t want him to solve, he goes from phoning it in to getting in over his head. BRAVO!!!
I'm not Superwoman kept my attention from start to finish. I was Captivated by Ms. Nia Scott journey from college student to medical doctor. I loved seeing a comfident Black woman fulfill her dreams despite all the drama around her. Marlon McCaulsky did a wonderful job capturing a Black woman's perspective with his narrative. I can't wait to read his next book!

Not Superwoman but assumed the roll....
This story came with plenty of unexpected twists, some celebratory.. others, not so much. The life experiences endured by the women within this tale absolutely required the mental strength and fortitude of superwoman... While there is a serious undertone to the read the author managed to get a laugh out of me a few times. It exudes Urban culture and I enjoyed being immersed in the Atlanta nuisances detailed within the story.
