Publisher's summary

Music meets Movies in this sweet college romance from the best-selling author of Cinder & Ella.

“So this is what a Pearl-approved guy looks like.” She shook her head once and cracked a smile. “She’s got good taste, I’ll give her that. You’re an odd mix of sexy and adorable. Don’t see that often.”

I was a little taken aback by the compliment, if that’s even what it was. She may have just been stating what she considered to be fact. She laughed at my surprise and held out her hand to me.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Jordan Kramer.”

I’d been afraid of that. “You’re a girl.”

Jordan laughed. “That’s what it says on my birth certificate, but I’m really glad you were able to figure it out without needing to read it.”

Nope. I definitely didn’t need that.

NYU freshman Nate Anderson is a triplet who is desperate to escape his wild and crazy brothers. After they screw things up for him one too many times, Nate flees his housing situation and takes the first available room for rent as far from his brothers as he can get.

Enter his new roommate Jordan - a quirky LA girl who believes that everything in life has already been done in the movies. In this heartfelt tale of love, friendship, and family, Nate learns how to deal with his new adult life using Hollywood films as a guide.

This book is part of a multi-author project that features one recurring character - the match maker - but it is a STAND-ALONE novel.

Content label: This is a new adult novel, however, it is also a clean romance. Content rating is PG. There is little to no swearing with mild innuendo. Though a sexual relationship is implied, there is nothing more than kissing in the book.

Narrator

I usually have a hard time listening to male narrators but this was well read! I really liked it.

If we were a movie....

This book could be an epically romantic movie. I writing was so wonderful it made characters and storyline come to life. I really loved it.

The narration was amazing. I hope all books in the Matchmaker Series are released on Audible eventually.

Such a fun story!

Love the hook of linking the story to movies and a few songs. The author's style is funny and most entertaining. I laughed out loud, literally, more than once.
This was the first book by this author for me but I plan to find others. Highly recommend.

OMG! This is SO good!!!

Super cute story! Great characters, and I mean characters. The narration was perfection! Andrew sounds an awful lot like Teddy Hamilton. I mean A LOT! So, if you're a fan of Teddy, your gonna love this one!

a suprising coming of age story

I had enjoyed Cinder & Ella by Kelly Oram so I decided to try another of her books. This one was a great coming of age story. it was predictable in some areas but the story was still refreshing and relaxing to listen to. I also enjoyed a couple references to Jordan knowing Brian and Ella, and The Druid Prince movie was mentioned.

I don't listen or read YA often as I am over 40 and like much more steam and heat in my novels. But this author does make the books fulfilling enough to overlook the YA genre of the book. This can be enjoyed by all age ranges.

Kelly, great book! & Andrew, great narration!

Kelly Oram was the author that brought me to this series and she didn't disappoint. Good characters, good storyline. I love her sense of humor. This is a book I will come back and read again when I get the blues, it lifts you up and you get to the end feeling good! One part was totally predictable but she made it work. The narrator was very good, he brought the characters to life and each one was easy to recognise. I listen to audibles when I'm driving, so I can't rewind to figure out whose talking. A good narrator who gives a voice to each character that you can recognise is VERY IMPORTANT!

If We Were a Movie

When I noticed more Kelly Oram books were turned into audiobooks I about had a heart attack! I loved Cinder and Ella. But it was more than all that when I saw the narrators I was HOOKED. I HAD to listen, it wasn’t a plan of if, it was a plan of when.
I am so glad I did because I found I just love Kelly’s writing and matched with these incredible narrators it is like heaven to my hears.

I enjoyed the story of Nate, he really has a lot of growing up to do and once he branched out he was able to finally do that. I respect a story like his because his heart and head were saying two very different things and he has to choose. It is an important lesson to learn especially at his age.

I can’t wait for more books by this author. Please, we want MORE!

LOVED IT!

Except for a few minutes when I wanted to throttle our hero, and burn the psycho villain at the stake, I loved everything about the story!

Short and sweet with very relatable characters.

It was a very enjoyable listen so I highly recommend it!
