Publisher's summary

So, you’re disabled, are you? Prove it, and get medicare early, too.

Disability’s the number one social benefit next to social security income and medicare. Increasingly, millions of people are on disability, striving to stay on it or to obtain it. Work injury, life and mortgage insurance riders, short-term disability, workers compensation, federal and veterans disability, auto accidents, long-term and adult day care, and private and public long term disability policies (including social security disability which can also provide early medicare eligibility). Most of us will face disability in our lifetime.

This book is short and effective and will help you navigate that maze. Authored by a medical expert with vast experience in social security disability adjudication and who served as medical director for a major private disability insurance carrier, this audiobook explains the most effective way to document the strongest medical case possible. It’ll also help you sidestep common pitfalls.

This book is also valuable to attorneys, doctors, educators, physicians who provide disability evaluations and court testimony, insurance and government administrators, financial planners, disability advocates, and case managers.

Worldwide, disability systems are based upon similar medical elements that change little but will be harder to obtain. Few popular books explain this process in terms of inside medical expertise. It’s a must for your financial planning, self-help, and medical or legal collection.

Clear & Concise~An Informative & Practical Guide

Any person who deserves disability benefits should listen to this book before beginning the process. If you have been denied benefits that are rightfully yours, learning from this book is a necessity. It is a clear path to help you in this difficult process. The author is obviously an expert in this field and wants to help those who deserve it. He very intuitively warns the reader that as the years pass it may be more difficult to get benefits. Excellent. Highly recommended. Practical. Well written.

Interesting

For anyone considering a disability case, this is solid information that is definitely worth listening to before getting started. Even when you know you need it, you have to know how to present your case. In my opinion, that makes all the difference in your chances of getting it. This book is helpful with that. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Excellent Resource!

The audiobook was great. I have personally applied for and was denied. I see now exactly why that happened. I had an attorney; I had great amounts of doctor’s documentation. I spent 3 years dealing with the messed up slow-moving system. All while not being able to work due to not getting medical clearance from my doctor. This is an excellent resource that may not guarantee success it will show you what you need to do to present your absolute best case possible something your attorney will not always do. You are your best advocate. It is your case he is not truly handling the monkey case managers call when Google or Siri tells them to check with you every 90 or 120 days to present the firm's interest to earn their 33% of your disability.

The narration by Steven A. Gannett was enjoyable. Mr. Gannett delivered an excellent vocal performance showing his wide range with this very important subject matter. The production quality of this audiobook is also of the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance such as loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Robert Manolakas delivered an excellent audiobook production. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I highly recommend this audiobook.
