Publisher's summary

Are you looking for magic spells that actually work?

Hoodoo is old North American folk magic, born from African spiritual traditions brought over by slaves. Over the centuries it incorporated Native American and European influences, using what worked and discarding what did not. This process has made Hoodoo into an adaptable, powerful magical system that works.

Angelie Belard has helped hundreds of people with their problems using the potent and practical magic of Hoodoo. From customers who needed help with financial or romantic problems, to friends and loved ones who wanted a way to connect to their ancestral roots, she has used Hoodoo to improve and enrich their lives. Now she’s ready to share her lifetime of learning with you.

In this audiobook you’ll learn:

  • What Hoodoo is and how it began
  • How to begin working with your ancestors
  • The importance of crossroads and graveyards
  • What Rootwork is and how to use herbs and roots in your magic
  • The importance of spiritual cleansing
  • How to work with candle magic and conjure oils
  • How to make your own mojo bags to carry magic with you

This audiobook covers everything you need to know to get started with Hoodoo, and includes over 25 simple spells to draw money to you, bring luck and love into your life, and protect yourself from evil.

Hoodoo was hidden by its practitioners for hundreds of years, but now you can safely get started with information you won’t find anywhere else.

Interesting. listen 2x!

Very easy to listen to and I suggest listening to it at least 2x, and take notes and make sure you look at your time to see where in the chapter you found the info for your notes. My only criticism is that the narrator's voice sounded like a person with a southern accent simply reading. For some reason, I was expecting a bit more passion, as if she actually performed the things she was reading about. I will be listening to it again+

The contents of the book.

This book enlightened me on beginning Hoodoo. Protecting myself, beginning rootwork, and doing my due diligence in the Religious practice.

Wonderful

The narration reminded my of my grandma, sweet and soothing like a tall glass of sweet tea. Very easy to follow and educational as expected. Good book for those of us new to the hoodoo way.

Great information

This was a good read very informative. And I can see myself returning to this book specifically for the spells and information provided. The narration did make it a bit difficult to work through, just because of that heavy unnecessary southern accent. But once you get past that your good to go!

Great content AWFUL HORRIBLE narration

I purchased the hard copy of this book and read it in one night. Because the text is to be studied I was excited when I received an email offering a free Audible download. The first sound of the narrator’s voice made me so angry. However, I said let me do some research. Maybe this is her natural speaking voice. It is not. It’s like she made our rich traditions into a joke with her fake southern drawl. I’m happy I read the hard copy because I couldn’t continue to listen to this. IMHO Kim Staunton, someone actually from the cultural, would’ve been a much better choice. Do yourself a favor, skip this and purchase the book. It’s a great primer for the budding Black American, southern rooted Hoodoo practitioner or just someone who is curious and wants to learn more.

I pray our paths cross. You’ve helped me to discover me! And I am Proud! Thank you! 😊

The narration was not my favorite part. However, the information richly drowned out the horrible southern accent. 😊
