Publisher's summary

They took us in the middle of the night and forced us to do things together…things I don’t dare admit.

They came and took us in the middle of the night - kidnapped us and locked us in an attic - me and my stepbrother Jake. They’re some kind of cult - the Worshipers of the Moon - and they say that Jake and I are the last of the Royal Weres. We’re the last two with the blood of the First Wolf and because of that, we’re their only hope.

But now they want me to do things with Jake - things I know I shouldn’t do. Things that could get me in a lot of trouble nine months down the line.

It’s frightening, but Jake is protective and gentle - he understands what we need to do in order to get free. The only trouble is, our plan might prove disastrous in more than one way.

The cult members keep telling me that Jake is my Alpha and I am his Omega - his to claim, his to take. But when we finally get away from them, we don’t dare to tell anyone what they made us do together.

For the penalty for our sins in the Were world…is death.

Author's Note number one - This is a dark romance - some scary things happen to the heroine. However, the hero is not abusive to her - they are in this situation together. But if you have ever been kidnapped or abused, please be aware that parts of this book may be triggering. Please listen responsibly. (PS - I promise it turns out okay in the end.)

Author's note number two - This is a STEPbrother book. There is no blood relation between the hero and the heroine. They are completely unrelated. I also want to stress that everyone in this book is over 18 - none of the characters are underage.

Great story but a dark one.

Loved the story and set up in the book.
This is not a book for everyone. Many dark things happens but if you can handle it, it’s a good book.
Looking forward to the next one in this series.

Pretty Good

This storyline was unique but everyday. I have heard about step siblings having romantic relationships. I was a bit concerned when I saw William or Mackenzie were not narrating this book but was pleasantly surprised with Dahlia’s narration; she did a good job with male and female characters. Glad I listened to it.

Awesome 👏🏻 ♥️

I definitely will be reading more from this author. The storyline contained the perfect amount of action and romance to keep it interesting. In addition, the ending was extremely satisfying. Plus, the narrator was spot on with both the male and female roles.

Good story

I am a huge fan of shifter novels and read/listen to them daily.
So here’s my take on the novel I will warn you this will be a long review I Don’t ever leave reviews so here we go lol
STORYLINE
it was a good storyline had potential to be a outstanding novel but the story felt rushed and kinda flat but i did enjoy as a time filler

CHARACTERS
There was a strong potential for these characters but I was left wanting it felt generic. I do feel if the characters had stronger personalities or more of their personalities was actually written this book would’ve been so much better

DETAILS
When it came to detail of the story there was certain things that could’ve been outlined better reasonings behind decisions that were made and small little tweaks here and there that would’ve helped bring the story to life

I listen to the story during a road trip so it definitely did the trick for me where I just needed something while I was driving

Good story but........

Evangeline Anderson is a very good author. I do have a lot of books from her. But there is one thing I have noticed that does irritate me in most of her books the heroin and the hero always has to have an excuse in doing something that they know is wrong but they want to do it. So they try to convince themselves to do it and make it seem like they're not doing anything wrong and it's all innocent. That is annoying. At least have some of the books that have people that aren't afraid of actually doing what they want and owning that decision and not make excuses for it. Every time I read or listen to the books like this all I keep thinking is that these people are nothing but cowards and very immature. If you're going to be an adult and if you're going to make an adult decision stick with it and be proud of it, don't be a pussy. If one of the books is like that then I wouldn't have such a problem but like I said most of her books are like this and it's just not that realistic because other people do handle their problems differently than being pussies

Bruh

Istg the main female character pissed me off. I usually love Evangeline’s books but I can’t finish this one.
