Publisher's summary
Amelia Robbins longs for the family she’s always wanted, but can't have. Her answer comes wrapped as an unexpected gift: an advertisement in The Matrimonial Times placed by an overwhelmed rancher caring for his orphaned siblings. As winter approaches, she travels to the frontier, chasing a new life that promises to heal her sorrows.
Jake Keller’s world is upended after tragedy leaves him caring for his three half-siblings. A frontier rancher’s life is difficult enough. He can’t raise children and run a ranch. When his mail-order bride arrives, Jake fights to keep her at a distance. The walls around his heart serve a purpose – to protect him from another lost love and heartbreak.
But Amelia’s gentle warmth challenges Jake’s guarded walls of ice, kindling a growing love on the snowy frontier. Yet, as Christmas draws near, the shadows of Amelia's past loom large. The sudden reappearance of her abusive ex-husband threatens to snuff out their fragile love for good.
Will they withstand the storm ahead or falter? Can Amelia move beyond the silent pain and cruelties from her past? Will Jake retreat behind his walls for good, or will he risk his heart again, letting love in?
Dive in to this heartwarming Christmas story of loss, love, and family, where faith and love bring hope and healing to the Colorado frontier.

I love sweet Christmas stories
I loved the story, it could almost be categorized a second chance story as well. This was a short story, but certainly didn’t feel rushed or short. This is perfect for a free afternoon of snuggling up with hot chocolate and blanket and a book! I’m not crazy about voice automation, however, it worked of with this book. There are times when it lacks feeling, not because of the author, but because of the automation reading. Either way if you love Christmas, Second Chances, kids and HEA, this book is for you!
