Lots of fun

Exciting and interesting to listen to but not too scary for sensitive kids (ages 6 and 8). They can’t wait to listen to the next one.

The show in radio play.

90% of it follow the show with a few added parts and I’m a bit of a different order. I would highly recommend this with the book at hand for young readers for fun or on a road trip. The voice cast is different on a few members from the show and the 3D sounds/sound effects weren’t bombastic. All around, a good time as a fan of the series.

We drank tea and listened to this story before bed🤺 and we really liked it. We have read all the Hilda comics and think this audio version is exciting and entertaining. We can’t wait to share this with the rest of our family.

Make more than 6!

This is my current happy listen. It’s engaging and so much fun! I have listened to all six radio drama adaptations and I can’t get enough! I would love for this series to continue!

Loved it!

Hilda lives in the valley where she is a friend to all the creatures, often sketching the creatures and scenery. Unfortunately, the elves have sent another letter telling them to leave, or they will face violent eviction and the destruction of their home. Never having been able to see the elves, Hilda never knew that her home was right next to an elf city. Hilda tries to reason with the elves, wanting to find a way to stay in her home because the alternative is very undesirable. If they can't stay in the valley, she would have to move to Trollberg!

Will Hilda be able to solve the issues between her family and the elves? Or will she be forced to move to the dreaded Trollberg?

This was such a fun audiobook to listen to. The narrator and cast did a wonderful job of pulling me into the story, and I absolutely loved the voice of Hilda. She was such a spunky kid who was not going to let anything stand in her way once she made a decision to do something. With this book as the introduction to Hilda, I look forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Immersive and fun!

I watched the tv series on Netflix and what a surprise it was to find this hidden gem here! The narrator’s performance was gentle and flows well with the rest of the cast. So far, very immersive and brimming with adventure and fun! It feels as if I was taken into the world of Hilda and what an incredible ride it was!

Fantastic story and narration

My kid and I have always enjoyed the show on Netflix but now they are obsessed with the books. Having the audiobook with it’s amazing sounds and narration adds an entire new experience to the story.

Love the narration and the voice cast

I’ve seen the Hilda cartoon on Netflix, and this audiobook felt just like rewatching it but in storybook form. The choice to include the same voices (I think they are the same) as the show is wonderful and makes it more immersive. I highly recommend this series to all ages, especially if you need a “goodnight” story to unwind from the day.
