Publisher's summary

In the town of Squashbuckle, just about anything can happen, and when Henry Penwhistle draws a mighty Chalk Dragon on his door, the dragon does what Henry least expects - it runs away. Now Henry's art is out in the world for everyone to see, and it's causing trouble for him and his schoolmates Oscar and Jade. If they don't stop it, the entire town could be doomed!

To vanquish the threat of a rampaging Chalk Dragon, Sir Henry Penwhistle, Knight of La Muncha Elementary School, is going to have to do more than just catch his art - he's going to have to let his imagination run wild. And that takes bravery.

Fabulous narration

Our family loves this story and this production. We hope to find many more delightful books read by Rebecca Reynolds and were excited to hear the connection to Rabbit Room Press at the end!

Delightfully whimsical story with made better by fantastical narrator

My boys (4, 5, 8) were enthralled with this story from the first few pages… but so was I! It is so delightful and promotes all things true, beautiful and good. My boys (and myself for that matter!) were prompted to remember their imaginations and we found their storytelling improved after reading.

And the narrator! Wow!! It couldn’t have been read more perfectly. Her voice ebbs and flows and brings the story to life. If possible, it brings even more magic to the story.

Cannot recommend this book or the audio version enough. What a delight! Be brave, Sir Henry. Be brave!

Cute story...awful narration

My son and I listened to this book together in the car on the way to and from his karate lessons twice a week. It’s an adorable book, and we really enjoyed it. However, the narration is terrible. In a single sentence, the narrator whispers, then raises her voice to a normal volume (or sometimes even a shout), then whispers again. Every. Single. Sentence. It’s incredibly annoying.
