Publisher's summary

To save the world, first you have to survive it.

The battle for freedom has left Emaneska reeling and desolated. Both Scalussen and Arka are scattered to the winds. With the Blazing Throne now empty and the Arka Empire for the taking, the race to claim Emaneska has begun.

Farden and Mithrid have been stranded alone in strange eastern lands by errant magick. They battle not to return home, but to uncover an ancient weapon capable of defeating a god. A god who desires nothing but chaos.

In Emaneska, the survivors of the Rogue’s Armada search for safer havens, something rare and lacking in the uncharted waters of the south.

Treachery and pain await them both, but the price of failure is steeper. New enemies lie in wait on those foreign paths. Dark creatures born of nightmares and forgotten powers. Warlords set on mastering magick. And an old threat reborn, doggedly pursuing one fate: the death of Farden.

Enthralled

I loved this book and all the others by this author. Addictive and completely unexpected plots, twists, and storyline. Character's that are so vivid in their emotion and personality. You know the goal in the story, but the path is more twisted than you can ever expect. Great narrator as well.

Not a typical MC story

This one is more diverse in terms of who is the main character than the first one. The girl main character came to power too fast and was not developed properly, however... this is a fun book to read.

Amazing series

This series has renewed my love of fantasy and reading. Great story, world, and characters. The change in narrators threw me off at times but both readers still performed excellently.

Amazing

This series consumed me for days, I could barely stand to set it down. The story was enthralling, the characters and world were all built so vividly.
I hope there is more to come!

Good story

Narrator is good overall but seriously needs to stop using the same grating and gravelly voices for the dragons and villains. It would be better to use closer to normal voices and save the grating for specific scenes instead. Takes me out of the story and since he uses it frequently it becomes distracting.

Still love these books, classic quest adventure this time

Per usual, love these books. The narrator does an awesome job, especially with the evil guys this time around.

I felt like the story. This time was maybe a little bit less engaging than before, because it was a little bit more of a standard “gang goes on a quest to find stuff” type of thing.

That is why I gave the story of four-star, but still definitely recommend this book no matter what if you’ve made it this far to be reading this review
