Publisher's summary

Ashton Brooks has lived under the umbrella of her family’s name and her father’s dreams for as long as she can remember. Already the perfect daughter and a straight-A-student, what more could be asked of her? Breaking out of the mold deemed to be her future was never even in her sights.

Until she met her cousin’s new roommate. With his chartreuse yellow eyes and chiseled abs, Crew Evanston was everything she didn’t know she wanted, and everything her father despised.

Crew came to Athens, Georgia, on a wing and a prayer. Working under his asshole uncle as a mechanic and living with a complete stranger, he was directionless. But when a cute little brunette with pouty lips and bedroom blue eyes barged in on him, being here suddenly seemed to take on a purpose.

What happens when two mismatched puzzle pieces somehow fit together? Can the good girl get up to bat when life throws her a hardball, or will she forever stay on the bench?

finding love

is a story of a father reluctantly comes to terms that his little girl is growing up. AshThiston always felt pressured to be the perfect daughter. now in college, she wants to spread her wings.Camden had high expectations for her future. and none included a mechanic named Crew!
Crew came to Athens after his grandparents died. He was lost and was trying to find his purpose in life. He thought if they found happiness here, it may be for him. He was working at the garage his grandfather founded. His uncle was managing the garage, and they never got along.
Little did Ashton and Crew know that their lives would change when they first met! Was it love at first sight or lust at first sight? Will her father ever accept Crew ?
Stacey Borel wrote a poignant story if a young woman finally finding her voice and trusting in love a young man finding himself, and a father learning to let go.
Caitlyn Allgood Knight narration was excellent, giving the characters their own voice. I was gifted this audio book and offered my honest opinion.

Aston💘Crew! Wonderful Story & Audible Listen🎧

This is my first book by Stacy Borel and it will not be my last. I enjoyed her writing style, she created interesting story that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it to the end. Her characters are complex and well developed, I adored both leads, Ashton and Crew. Ashton comes from a loving, tight knit family, she is well rounded, maybe a bit naive and definitely overprotected by her father and cousin. Crew is her cousins new roommate, with is tattoos and quiet brooding demeanor he comes off as a “bad” boy, but looks can be deceiving. I loved the chemistry between them and how their story played out. Crew’s backstory is very touching, I like how it turns out for him, also liked how Ashton’s father backed him with his Uncle. There is plenty of drama, some angst and fun moments, as well as heartfelt and moving ones in this well plotted story. The ending is more of a happy for now ending, so I hope there is more is to come from these great characters. Thank you Stacy Borel for this wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to checking out more of your work.

I listened to the Audible edition, Caitlin Allgood Knight is a terrific narrator, she brings these characters and their story to life. She did a great job projecting the emotions of the characters into her performance. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Crew and Ashton

What happens when you are the apple of your fathers eye? Do you grow up, live and have fun? Do you make him happy and just be the little girl that he fell in love with as soon as he saw you? This is the issue Ashton has faced all of her life. The image that she portrayed was everything to her and more to her father. Life took a left instead of staying on the straight path built for her and there will be trouble!!

Ashton is a teenager who wants to be herself and not have to continue to measure up to her father. She loves her family but now is the time she will find her way and she is in for a great ride! Crew was her cousins roommate and the one things that will make her stray in the best way possible. He has a back story and a story that he has no idea about. Ashton is his hero but he is much more than that to her!

Stacy did a fantastic job with the story and I can’t wait to read/listen to more. Caitlin Knight did a fantastic job narrating the story and made the characters come to life!!

Ashton and Crew

Great story about two new adults falling in love and all the ups and downs that come with it and trying to figure out where their lives are headed. But I felt like the end was rushed compared to the rest of the story.
The narrator was okay, doing a great job distinguishing between the voices and packing all the emotion of the story into her voice. But I would have liked a little more of a difference in the male voices.

Good story would've loved more

I liked the story Ashton and Crew, but kind of hoping there is a sequel, the ending was a bit short and there is so much more I need to know about Crew family past and more I wish to happen. I got the audiobook and Caitlin Allgood Knight did a good job, I suggest a bit more of a male voice change as I got a bit lost on who was talking after a pause but overall I liked it, the performance of the emotions are hinted and where there where it counted the most.

Great Love Story

Great love story, but the ending was a little cut off! Love how the book had great detail throughout the story but come to the ending and it seemed rushed or lacking! Crew sounds amazingly hot and how he falls hard and fast Ash, it’s a great romance!
Narration was great! Caitlin did an awesome job to bringing the characters to life and keeping their voices separated!

Interesting!

This is prime examples of what goes on with families. I would have enjoyed the narration more if it had a male narrator helping Caitlin with the male characters.
