Excellent information that is applicable for any level of physiological understanding; the author does not dummy down information, but makes it accessible.

    "Powerful"
What did you love best about Power Foods for the Brain?

This book was jam-packed with nutritional information that I loved. Dr. Barnard puts the medical information in layman's turns so it is easy to understand and comprehend. Sometimes nutritionists and doctors use their medical terms and expect you to understand what they're saying. There was so much information that I wanted to remember or highlight and so I bought the book! He gives such compelling information from our diets, to vitamins, minerals, exercise, and sleep. Jeremy Arthur also did a great job in narrating the book.

    "Waste of money!!!"
Would you try another book from Neal Barnard and/or Jeremy Arthur?

    No

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Very disappointed!

    Any additional comments?

As an RN with a strong nutritional background, I was greatly disappointed with this book. The authors motive to convince me to refrain from ALL meat/dairy is poorly substantiated as he never even addressed the benefits of grass fed red meat. And the fact he wants you to limit your intake of vital minerals is laughable. Save your money as you will learn NOTHING regarding optimizing brain health (assuming you read the medical/nutritional news) and this book might even work against your goals in optimizing your brain health..
