Publisher's summary

How can a fidelity test possibly go wrong? In this sweet and sexy romance, international bestselling author Tara Brown counts the ways…

Among her super-rich friends, Lacey Winters never minded being the “poor one.” That is, until her tuition money and big dreams vanish overnight. Now Lacey has a plan to make some extra cash - a devilishly brilliant plan. For a fee, she’ll test your boyfriend to find out if he’s faithful or a cheating jerk. Her next target: a slick and sexy trust-fund playboy. Unfortunately for Lacey, his charms aren’t just legend. And before she knows it, she’s under his spell.

It was bad enough that Jordan Somersby’s father forced a spoiled “society princess” on him. Then Jordan had to go and find his dream girl - the beautiful, fun, and down-to-earth Lacey. And he’ll do anything to prove he’s sincere. But pretty soon it’ll be Lacey’s turn to prove that this is not just a game.

Because, when it comes to mixing love and deception, nothing is what it seems. And Lacey and Jordan are about to face the ultimate test.

Like listening to Gossip Girl

At the beginning the story seemed pretty unrealistic but then the more I listened to it, the more I kept thinking about the tv show Gossip Girl and I ended up enjoying it. With the characters being groups of friends in the rich New York area, this is definitely not something I could ever relate to my own life, but it was definitely entertaining seeing the way they behave and the drama they get into.

This was my first time listening to Kristin Watson Heintz and while at first her narration kind of threw me off, by then end of it I was really enjoying her. I have heard Jason Clarke before and he always does a great job!

Great series!

These books are a great read. Almost wish I had waited until they were all finished before I had started the series. Can't get enough of the characters!

meh...

I wanted to like it, but I didn't. The FMC is too hostile, and judgmental. She gave me a headache.

That female voice. Screeching. ruined it

Always love Jason Clarke. But this time he is matched up unfairly with an awful female narrator. The story line is cute, but even with Jason's melting voice I couldn't finish it.
The screeching Bronx accent and.. is she wearing braces??? Yikes.

What happened?

Very disappointed. Story was blah and female narrator was so squeaky and nasally sounding I barely made it through. I have really enjoyed this author’s other works si very surprised at how much this book sucked.

Female narrator was annoying!

I loved the story and pretty much read anything written by Tara Brown. However, Kristin Watson Heintz's accent was so annoying and took away from the book, I had to stop listening. I understood the main character, Lacey was from Brooklyn and the story set in NY but I couldn't believe that Lacey and her uber rich friends would have sounded the way the narrator chose to portray them especially in the socio-economic world they lived in.
