The small coastal Connecticut town of Paramour Bay has brought a lot of surprises to Raven Marigold's life, but she never expected to encounter a bona fide honest to gosh ghost!

It appears that Raven and her familiar have made quite the name for themselves on the other side as amateur sleuths...enticing an endearing tea-drinking spirit to seek their help to solve a kidnapping, of sorts. You see, the sweet apparition's familiar didn't follow her into the afterlife and has gone missing - even from the eyes of the dead!

Grab a cup of hot tea and a cozy blanket so that you can snuggle in front of the warm hearth of your fireplace with this riveting supernatural tale that will have you smiling well into the night!

The Human Voice

Holy does an awesome job narrating these stories. She has inflection, stress, changes, love, masculine, & of course feminine in all of her narrations. Those A.I. voices just don’t give the listener the full ride a story has to give.

Love the story and narrator

I am still loving this book series and they have the best narrator, Hollie! She does an incredible job at all the character voices being so different. She’s very talented and easy to listen to.

Leo…. ❤️❤️❤️ A MUST LISTEN TOO!!!

This series is so entertaining that I’m am on pins and needles waiting for the next. I am so glad to see there are plenty more books for Ms. Jackson to record. No one else can die these stories justice so please don’t change narrators.

Kennedy PLEASE allow all books to be recorded. The world you created has given me so much happiness. Mr. Leo and his catnip addiction and memory issues are the best! Hilarious!

Good cozy mystery

Great cozy mystery. Both the author and the narrator kept me invested from the first chapter. With a number of twists and turns and a result I didn’t see coming, I was hooked. Cannot wait to read and or listen to more from this author.

Probably Better Read Than Listened

I was so excited to jump back into Paramour Bay with Raven and her cat familiar Leo. The story itself was exciting, with good pacing, expanding on Raven's family as well as the political community around witches. There was very minimal inclusion of some of the other secondary characters I enjoy, namely Raven's best friend and her love interest but they are present and clearly developing for more involvement in future stories. The main thrust of this story deals with Raven's relationship with her mother and the dynamic with other witches--which was very interesting. My main struggle was how confusing this story was at times due to it being narrated and not being able to see the text. Raven and Leo kept breaking the fourth wall on and off (randomly talking directly to the reader), often Raven is thinking something and Leo can hear her thoughts (though to me I am unclear is this is constant or just when Raven is thinking in close proximity to Leo), sometimes it seems like other people can hear Leo and his thoughts at Raven but then sometimes not, and sometimes it seems that Leo and Raven are talking out loud to one another. When you are not seeing the punctuation of text, seeing who is talking to who and how, and when the text does not indicate this (i.e. "Raven thought to herself" "Raven grumbled to Leo" etc), I found myself getting confused and then pulled out of the story. Some people might not mind this but at times I had no idea who was hearing what in terms of dialogue which is rough in thrilling situations of danger where I can't tell if all parties are hearing what is being said or not. Hollie is lovely but I find she has a small range of accents so often repeats some accents for multiple characters which also confuses me. This is a light paranormal cozy with a fun world and quirky characters and comedy. I will definitely continue as I really enjoy this world and these characters but I really hope the dialogue will be cleaned up as the perspective shifts are disorienting and take away from the story when narrated--again if I were reading this on the page this would be getting a higher score from me but I am reviewing this based on the audible version.
