phenomenal book

what a phenomenal book. This story completely sucks you in . I was hooked after book 1 and once this one was released I couldn't wait to listen and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the narrators they really brought this book to life for me.

Keep it going!

This book was fast-paced and by the end I was almost dizzy. There were a few slower moments in the previous book, and this one felt the complete opposite. Poor Piper can't catch a break but she is starting to overcome her prejudices and starting to accept herself and her new world. I like her attitude a lot better in this one. I love seeing the friendship continue to develop between Piper and Natalie. Piper and Ronan also got some good screen-time together. Their chemistry jumps off the page and I am excited to see how the relationship progresses. I was disappointed that there was a whole lot that happened while Piper was unconscious and we didn't get to see more of Natalie and Lucifer interacting.
The audio performance was once again fantastic. I do enjoy the dual narrators and the male narrator is growing on me. Savannah does such a great job and I just love her voice.
Overall, a fantastic addition to the series and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Perfect narration for Piper.

Savannah and Adam are sooooo good narrating the book. Savannah continues to do a wonderful job portraying Piper. Piper’s cold demeanor and indifference to any situation that doesn’t threaten someone she is loyal to (mainly Bri and Nat) is so clear throughout the book. We hear bits of emotion only in situations in which Piper is interacting with or actively trying to protect Nat and Bri AND in those situations where she is trying to protect herself from Ronan. Every other situation the narration is perfectly cold with a take no prisoners attitude. Adam’s voice as Ronan is chill inducing... yum. They are the perfect duet to narrate this story.

Piper and Nat grow as characters on their own and within their friendship as well. Nat definitely reveals her grit in this book. The fun little twist with Bri was interesting and has left me anxiously waiting for book 3.

I seriously love this series so much!!!

Piper is such a complex character. She’s so strong, but also so broken in many ways. I can’t wait to keep reading and watching her grow. Goodness Ronan is so 🔥🔥🔥. I love Natalie & can’t wait to watch her grow too. Hopefully she will get her own books in the future. The narration of Savannah & Adam was off the charts again with book 2. Thanks Kel for putting your beautiful mind to work for your readers. You’re brilliant!

I am I love with this series! This book took me on a roller coaster ride with the feels. And the end.. wth.. There’s finally some a light at the end of the tunnel for what Piper’s been wanting for a long time and it ends like that? LOL there is a book 3 right? Because I need more.. I need answers.. and more of Piper, Ronan, and Nathalie 💜

Not as good but still great.

This was still very enjoyable but I felt like Lucifers character became almost whiny before he died. It just seemed odd that he was such a strong character leading up to his waning demise but he actually turned into a whining woe is me before his death. Just an extreme change for a demon who was so strong. Anyhow the story was good and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how the sisters story grows. Looks like she might’ve been happy in her new world prior to being taken back to Earth.

I love this series and I hope more will be coming to audible! I LOVE Savannah Gilmore, and Adam Gold is amazing too!

Addictive

Touch by Fire is book one, this one starts where it left, getting more information and twists and turns than you ever expected. Piper is a character that has grown so much since the story started, and Ronan is one book boyfriend you want to meet. This one is more action-packed, we get some answers but definitely, the suspense is still on, a great urban fantasy with magic and demons. I am so looking forward to the next one. The audiobook is narrated by Savannah Gilmore and Adam Gold, definitely did a terrific job, I am enjoying them so much, the editing is done as expected, definitely get the audio, so worth it.
