Great and cute

I loved this story. Well written, no whining, open and honest. I listened to this 4 times.

Sweet

I normally don't do short books and made this an exception. The characters were believable plus the story was good.

Liked it

I would say I liked this one but wasn’t blown away by it. I don’t usually love when IR writers make race a part of the plot. While I understood the hero’s mothers reason to being concerned about their relationship, it just took me out of the story to read about an IR couple where race was mentioned so heavily. Kudos to the author for having an audiobook since that’s my preferred method of reading! I’ll read audiobooks of any genre but I love when I can get the chance to read an AA, MC or IR romance instead of the mainstream white romances.

I’ll probably give this author another book or two. The writing was good. Maybe it was just these characters I didn’t connect to.

Falling fast and hard!

When you meet the right person, you know it immediately. This is the case for Reiner and Jada. Reiner helped out Jada when her car broke down, and he offered to let her sit in his truck til help arrived. They did not exchange phone numbers, but another unexpected meeting brings them together. And their fun begins. Peyton Banks has fashioned a romance between these two that will make your heart sing. Reiner is a wonderful man, almost too good to be true, especially with his fame and fortune. Jada is a young, entrepreneur, and seamlessly fits into his world. They do not let the fact they are different races interfere with their love. But will everyone? A little controversy, but Banks resolves all the issues with grace, even integrates a little history into the plot. If you are looking for a sweet, fun sports romance, this is one you will not want to miss!

Narrated by Lacy Laurel, the story comes to life. She uses her talent, giving us a Texas twang for Reiner and a confident, yet vulnerable voice for Jada. She continually impresses me with her vast array of voices. Even though this is short, there are a lot of characters, various ages and she nails all of them, right down to Reiner's mom! She always gives an enjoyable performance.

This story was short and sweet with a great ending and I love how they fought for their love and it came out so beautiful what gentleman he is and how strong she is to fall in love with him

I liked the overall story, characters, and resolution. It was short and sweet. The narration was good as well.

I was super worried about the - “misunderstanding”…or …even worse-DUH! He’s made it clear how he feels but yet your massive doubts get in the way- typical blah blah blah! Nope! Just a wonderful love story about two super nice folks coming together in a steamy way! I definitely recommend!!!

Loved this book so much!

I loved this book so much! I'll probably listen to it again soon. I love it when both characters are open and honest about their feelings with each other. They didn't let outside drama into their relationship. This is an easy listen and well-written. If you're looking for a sweet and spicy book with a little drama, you'll definitely love this book. Highly recommend!
