I already loved this book, but listening to it made me love it even more.

WOW! Just...WOW. I was worried about this book coming to audio because I wasn't sure that any narrator could pull off the perfect voice for precious Jae...but Zachary Zaba delivered! Zachary is a new-to-me narrator, and I'm so impressed with his distinct voices for both Jae and Rapha, and his range and variety for the many side characters in this book. Hamartia is such a beautiful tale somehow made even MORE beautiful by this audio. Hearing these guys' voices really makes them seem real! This is a MUST listen. Well done Zachary and Scarlett on bringing this beautiful story to life!

Most excellent listen!

This one really got me. Everything about it. I was so sad when it ended. It had all the feels. I became deeply invested in all the characters. When it starts out, the sound is weird because it begins as an interview. Don’t let that deter you. It’s short-lived, and then it opens up to beautiful narration. I laughed, I cried, I was moved time and time again. It drew me in and did not let me go until it was over. A very good book indeed!

I loved this book so much that I couldn’t wait for the audio to come out for a reread! And this didn’t disappoint! Zachary Zaba is a new to me narrator and I’m already looking forward to listening to another audiobook with him.

Beautiful

This was such a romantic and heartfelt story. Raphael and Jae were simply inevitable. I was a little worried the cheating aspect would get to me, but I think it was handled well. Them falling for one another, Raphael simply falling without a care, Jae opening himself up. Beautiful. Absolutely adored it. LOVED THE EXTRA STORY!

SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

Y'ALL. THE HYPE IS REAL. This book is SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I've seen people raving about Hamartia by Scarlett Drake all over Bookstagram, but I finally took the plunge when the audiobook was released. Though I'm certain it's just as good as an ebook, y'all the narration for this book was unreal. I was constantly getting chills from Zachary Zaba's voice, and I FLEW through it because I could not set it down. If you like beautiful writing, rockstar romance, obsession, pining, and angst, or are just super intrigued about how an American rockstar falls for a K-pop idol... read this one IMMEDIATELY.

The story is primarily told from the POV of Raphael, frontman and guitarist for a rock band, and y'all, this guy is GONE the moment he sets his eyes on Jaehyun, the ethereal singer and dancer in an extremely popular K-pop group. He obsesses over him for years, the pining is UNREAL. Definitely some instalust going on, but seriously, the lengths this guy goes through to cross paths with a man that he has never really spoken to is just insane. And then, once they do manage to meet, the chemistry is off the charts. I LOVE how Rapha turns into a tongue-tied, rambling ball of nerves every single time he talks to Jae - it's hilarious and endearing. And though Jae is much more cautious, you can see how much he wants to embrace what he has with Rapha. It's honestly soulmate-level vibes from the very beginning. I love that they both insist on clarity from the very beginning (despite some serious obstacles in the way of their relationship), and that, in the end, they really have to intentionally choose each other. Gah, nothing like a good "I choose you" situation - one of my favorite microtropes! And the spice! Oh wow, so freaking good, and so incredibly well-written.

The audio for this one is new, and it is PERFECTION. Zachary Zaba's voices for Rapha and Jae added so much nuance - I especially couldn't get over his voice for Jae, it was gave me chills multiple times. Haha funny enough, I didn't like his voice for Camille - but this might have been a good thing, given her role in the story. And BRAVO to my friend @spicyreadsandheas for her cameo (in duet no less!) at the beginning as a journalist. SO FREAKING COOL!

I love when hyped up books really deliver, Hamartia is absolutely a must-read. I highly recommend checking out the audio - and make sure to listen all the way through, as the SUPER spicy bonus scene is included at the end (you can get it from Scarlett's website as well if you want to read it). Definitely checking out Scarlett's other books (and crossing my fingers for a Hamartia sequel!).

I did not read this book prior to listening to the audio. I absolutely loved it!! This is a great story with lots of steam 🔥🔥🔥. Zachary did a great job narrating. Would listen to any audiobooks of Scarlett’s !

Utterly beautiful story.

What a wonderful audiobook, I didn't want it to end. Rapha and Jae's love story thawed a little bit of my cold heart, and Zachary's narration was perfection. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up, you won't regret it.
