Publisher's summary

"Buckle up - this is another crazy ride!"

The Scrapyard Ship sci-fi "cliff-hanger" adventures continue with HAB 12, the second book in the series:

Captain Jason Reynolds faces new challenges, not only on Earth, but from the far side of the universe as well. The only way to stop the Craing this time will be to square off with them on their home turf.

Jason's been informed that three powerful Craing warships, having similar technology as The Lilly, will soon be en route to Earth. The Alliance must destroy the Craing's wormhole means of distant space travel to avert Earth's total annihilation. Unfortunately, there's no way to reach the Craing worlds in time, at least not through conventional means.

It's up to Jason and his hand-picked assault team to traverse, by advanced phase-shifting means, through the hazardous environment of HAB 12. This is an adventure fraught with carnivores of a Jurassic Age magnitude, and a terrain so deadly that turning back may be their only hope of survival.

Note from the author:
Don't be surprised by cliff-hanger endings. I'll do my best to keep Scrapyard Ship, as well as the Tapped In series books, coming so you wont have long to wait for the next book. Enjoy!

A little short.

This could have been combined with another book in the series. Great story and narration.

the adventure continues

The crew of the Lily go from once problem to another. Dealing with power is graps on earth to traitors on board ship. As well as fighting off pirates. There is a lot going on in this book.

Puppy Love

Love the storty, but simulator to some others. The narrator really helps bring the book alive. Mr. McGinnis does a great job of keeping the action moving while adding the bases for other books. Well done.

Going swimming, REALLY?

Captain Jason Reynolds only has days to save the earth. So on the mission to prevent the attach they take some R&R and go flippin swimming. Through out book 1 and 2 like going for a hike with his daughter when they could be attacked at any moment or when he loose coms with crew and just continues to hang out with his dad.

Loved the series. HATE the performance on audio book.

I’ve read the series over and over. Loved the book and the characters. Decided to try the first 2 audiobooks and just hate them. The performer’s voice and tone make the captain seem like he’s really mean and condescending and Ricket sounds so clipped with such a weird accent that I just cringe listening to both. Wish the author had used someone else!!!! I’m not going to be buying anymore audio books but I’m sure I’ll continue to love the regular books.

Pretty sure a lack of knowledge can be blamed

Ok, first of all, I'm thinking the author is very uneducated. they do not know anything about the military but it seems like the author hates the military. there are lots of very goofy screw ups about the way the military works. There are even more screw ups about how government works. These are inclusive of but not limited to mobilization of forces, imminent domain, Congressional oversight, the role of each position.
My qualifications, I have 11 years enlisted, 10 Army Officer, 2 Naval officer and 4 as the liaison to Congress from Special Operations Command, MacDill AFB. I have worked with 21 Nations as a liaison to NATO forces. I also have been a part of 6 campaigns for President. have personally met 5 presidents and 7 DoD Secretary's. I know a little about this stuff...
The voice acting is a 2/10 mainly because of quality of recording and the mispronounced nomenclature for a lot of things. I have worked with a lot of SEALS, they are not the dumb brutes they are portrayed as. they act more like prisoners than SEALS and the civilian world will not put a monitoring ankle device on a SEAL who committed to offense that was created here. Command would most likely not bring it up and if it were discovered, the SEAL would have their trident broken and they would receive a big chicken dinner. The offense created here, is a minor RoE violation, a shoot board would recommend a punishment and most likely the seal would lose their command and they would ride the pine for a long time. Then they would not allow for the contract to be extended. not jail or bs ankle monitors. please hire a SME to fix your technical subjects. I am available and work cheap, really. ill work for a credit and 1%. but you'll do a lot better. so we will make more.
