Life lessons from David’s life

I was thinking about a month ago that someone needs to write a book about David. A book that gives you life lessons. This is that book. Very well written and inspiring. Highly recommend.

One of the best on David

Having enjoyed Chuck Swindoll’s books for years, this biography style series is the best. Narrator does a good job and Swindoll pulls no punches nor glosses over any part of David’s story. A joy to listen to this book.

Inspiring Story of a Man After God’s Own Heart

The story of King David from the Bible is an encouraging example of an imperfect follower of God. Knowing more about the life of David is inspiring because he is no different than any of us. Because of God’s Grace, we don’t have to be perfect or have it all figured out to follow Him! This book is rooted in and brought to life from scripture and Swindoll helps you understand how it applies to our own lives. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of Charles Swindoll’s Great Lives series. The narration was excellent as well!

Great book!

wonderful story with great insight into David's life. Narrator did an excellent job; couldn't be more pleased.

Pleasantly surprised

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have a love/hate relationship with biblical biographies, as they lend themselves to assumptions about what was said, felt, or done. However, I think Swindoll did a great job of sharing when he was making an assumption. More than that, the life application from the study far outweighed my concerns over other issues. The only thing I did not care for was the narrator’s voice.

Information, in depth, and inspirational!

Outside of the actual contents of the book, the performers voice is perfect. I wish all of my audiobooks were as melodic. The author has given preview to many facets of David’s life, character and motivations that has inspired me to seek more revelation from the scriptures concerning his story. I thoroughly enjoyed this profile of David and would recommend it to anyone no matter where they are in their walk of faith

Christian inspirational (not a typical biography)

Christian inspirational writing based on King David and the New Testament. Probably a great book for that purpose, but the description had me expecting more of a academic/historical biography. That is not this.
