Remy's harem expanded to twenty, unquestioning obedience the norm, 24/7 availability, text messages required to be answered within sixty seconds. Each girl had a quota of at least one new recruit. That new member then became her slave too. Kristie now had several slaves.

She had Remy tattooed onto her upper arm with fancy lettering as a display of her commitment's sincerity. A few of the others followed her example.

“Tattoos are too boring, too mundane,” she later opined to her entourage. “There needs to be a way to show a more intense allegiance.”

“How about a brand?” asked one of the girls.

“Yeah, and not the quick and easy kind, but a slow etching,” added another. “It would make more of a statement.”

“What's that scar? It looks like the letter K.”

“It is. It stands for Kristie. It's my expression of devotion, my brand. I'm very proud of it.”

She found it and brought it to her. Cara sat back in her chair and tossed it across the room.
