Publisher's summary

One moment can change the course of someone’s life.

Fifteen years ago, that moment came during a chance meeting between Grayson and Rowdy, and neither of their lives would ever be the same. During a walk in the woods with his son, Grayson came across a creature he never knew existed: a human boy who changed into a cougar. The boy was cast aside by his family for exposing his secret identity to humans.

He lost everything to protect the strangers. When he returned home and told others of what he’d seen, Grayson was ridiculed and run out of town. He lost his job, reputation, and relationships. He spent his life searching for the creature again.

He discovered the creatures again when his son was not only saved by a cougar shifter, but mated with one. Grayson is overjoyed by the pairing, but he is very sick and running out of time. The only thing that will save him is a magical mate of his own.

*This low-angst, insta-love novella is full of heartwarming scenes, a few laughs, and lots of steam. It has no cliff-hangers and a very happy HEA!

loved it

I loved this book. Denver Stevens' voice really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. Fifteen years ago Grayson and his son saw a boy turn into a cougar. Grayson told others what he saw and was made fun of and was forced out of town. He lost everything and searched for the mysterious creatures for many years. He finds them again after his son Zane was attacked by a bear and the shifters saved him and on is his mate.
Rowdy was tossed out of the pack after being seen by humans and lost everything to protect them. Years later Rowdy smells his mate on his friend Ridge and Ridge's mate Zane. He finds out his mate is Zane's dad Grayson. Grayson is sick and dying. Rowdy is Grayson's only hope and mate.

Forever Love 💕

There's a lot to this story though it's short. Intriguing storyline, depth to characters, and smoking hot sexy times. Narration is perfect and I loved the extra added bonus of echoing thoughts, that was cool! All of Jayda's books are fluffy sweet and lovely, which is what I count on. Highly recommend!

Cute

This was a cute little story. Not exactly what I've come to expect from Jayda Marx but cute all the same.

A short and not too sticky sweet story with good narration.

I enjoyed.

Confronting their past

Unbeknownst to them, Grayson and Rowdy met many years ago. A meeting that changes the course of both of their lives in drastic ways brings them full circle when fate steps in and reveals what they are to each other.

This is best enjoyed after book one in this series as the storyline does continue, we get to see Rowdy claim his mate and help him reclaim his life in the best of ways.

This quick story is narrated very well and each character is vocalised smoothly and easily discernible.

Sweet and hot

Yay! Grayson and Rowdy get their happily ever after! Without trying to spoil anything, I really liked how the story started. It was emotional and real. After everything is cleared up we get the sweet and heat we come to expect from Jayda Marx. I can't wait for Rider's story! I liked Denver Stevens voices for the main characters. I wasn't a fan of the echoey inner monologue parts, but I do appreciate the narrator's effort in trying to differentiate it for us listeners.
