Publisher's summary

The last epic journey before her life changes forever.

Susanna Wilkins will do anything to make her father's final dream come true, including trek along the path Lewis and Clark explored into the untamed wilds of the Rocky Mountains. Every mile is more crucial now that lung cancer is stealing Pa's last days faster than she can come to terms with losing him. The journey becomes harder than she ever expected, but paddling upriver through fierce rapids and fighting hungry grizzlies isn't what terrifies her the most.

Beaver Tail endured more than he can stand from the women in his Blackfoot camp, but the last disaster gave him the final shove he needed to join this band of brothers searching for one of their group who's gone missing. The last thing he expected was to find a white woman and her sick father stranded at the base of massive waterfall. His plan is to help them carry their oversize canoe and supplies, then leave them to their strange mission. Yet, the more he learns about the pair, the more he realizes his life is about to be derailed — again.

From a USA Today best-selling author comes another epic journey through breathless landscapes and adventure so intense, lives will never be the same.

Wonderful Adventure

The start of a new series. Susanna and her father are filling the trail of Lewis and Clark from their journey. Along the way the meet four men who will help them since her father is very ill. Yes I cried but also found happiness in this tale.

Leonor Woolworth is one of my favorite narrators and she brings the author’s word’s words alive. I cannot wait for the next in the series!

Loved Beaver Tail!

Narrator Leonor A. Woodworth is one of my favorites. She makes the story come alive and I can feel the breeze and see the beautiful landscape. Likewise the author’s descriptions of the land, mountains and the water were so picturesque. Oh and the characters were so real for me that even I wanted to pray for Susanna’s father. Her love for her father and the way she wanted to give him every chance to see the beautiful mountains was amazing. She never thought of herself when it came to her father. Each of the characters had their own place in my heart as I could picture them so plainly. I don’t want to give anything away but lets just say Beaver Tail was so tough but yet so tender. Well I guess you can tell I loved this book.
I won this audiobook in a contest and was not required to write a review. All opinions are my own.

Good story enjoyable read also clean reading.

This was a good story. I would recommend it to adults, those who love nature and have a love for family would appreciate it most of all. I know that I did. I had empathy for this young woman as she was losing her father being as I just lost my mother a few months ago. I know what it is to lose a parent the one who has cared for you throughout your life. I was delighted as she found new love and her heart began to thaw. I can’t wait to see where this series goes.

Predictable

Wonderful reader! Predictable story. This was not my favorite genre because the story follows the predictable pattern of every romance, but the reader was wonderful!
