Publisher's summary

My brother’s best friend thinks he owns me….

Mr. All-Star Quarterback won’t let me heal in peace. His perfectly chiseled features are always there, suffocating me, refusing to let me wallow in my own misery.

Reid is the epitome of “hard-headed jock”…and he has his sights set on me.

If he wasn’t so stubborn…. If he wasn’t so captivatingly handsome….

Maybe then I’d be able to keep my defenses up.

Will these new feelings taint my brother’s memory? Will we cross a line that will ruin everything?

The Forbidden Romance and Character Development

The voice actors are amazing, I had no problem listening to this book. And overall I didn’t mind the story at first. Just a young girl trying to overcome her trauma from her brother passing away. And I would say it was fine. But the way the author completely pushed the story line at the end to make for another book. Made me irritated, and I didn’t even bother reaching for the second one. I get she’s young and they showcase her making decisions without thoroughly thinking it through. But genuinely, who runs away AGAIN when their boyfriend is in the hospital. Especially after they showed her train of thought earlier of her growing and admitting running away wasn’t the answer. And the female character who ended up being her bully, just didn’t fit or make sense to me. All that being said, I would’ve liked for the book to end on a better note. Or even up to your imagination on what exactly happened. And have the second book be them 10 years later. Not some run on book of the stupid ending this one had. The spice scenes were again ok, but you can’t expect much from a high school romance. I think this book is definitely catered more towards the younger adult audience. Overall I appreciated the story line, just not so much the ending. It was an ok read, which is why I give it three stars.

The plot, the characters, the voice actor… I loved every bit of Free Fall and cannot wait to dig into the next book in the series.

Made it through the story line is great

It was a little hard to make it through she is so very very repetitive in her sorrow and life complaints just wish she wasn’t so repetitive in her it’s all about me brat like attitude

A little dry and predictable

Without spoiling it, it’s definitely a little dry. And I thought it was very predictable. It seems a little too similar to the Court Legacy series by Eden O’neil
