Following the conclusion of Requiem, follow Marie as she changes more than cities from Santa Fe to New Orleans. Trying to make up for the mistakes of her previous life, she changes her name to Marie Perdita. Marie will challenge Gaines and his hold on New Orleans, working with the help of BCI's rising star Christian.
Marie works solo, gets into situations others wouldn't dare. Raised by a Marine, she has always been tough and outworking others, but this case follows a tragedy. She can't find her edge, fighting the fears and guilt that followed her from Santa Fe, and the continued saga of Jason Gaines affecting her life.
Marie will have to get in with the local drug dealers Gaines is working within New Orleans. As a port city to the world, New Orleans plays a strategic role in Gaines' plans. She will be dragged into a parallel case dealing with a missing girl and a dirty councilman.
