Publisher's summary

In this final installment of Ted Dekker's groundbreaking Circle Trilogy, Thomas Hunter has only days to survive two separate realms of danger, deceit, and destruction. The fate of both worlds hinges on his unique ability to shift realities through his dreams.

In one world, a lethal virus threatens to destroy all life as scientists and governments scramble to find an antidote. In the other, a forbidden love could forever destroy the ragtag resistance known as The Circle.

Thomas can bridge both worlds, but he is quickly realizing that he may be able to save neither.

In the surprising conclusion of the Circle trilogy, Thomas must find a way to rewrite history as he navigates a whirlwind of emotions and events surrounding a pending apocalypse.

Life. Death. Love. Nothing is as it seems. Yet all will forever be transformed by the decisions of one man in the final hours of the Great Pursuit.

Great book, weird recording

The content was good. The voice reading it was pretty decent as well, but the recording studio almost ruined the book for me. They insert these cheesy interludes that almost deminish the content of the book.

Wonderfully vivid love story

So glad to have re-visited this series. Read it years ago and so glad I listened to it. Was able to see things in a different light. Must check out.

Love hate relationship

Love: The original storyline. Absolutely loved the story itself and I wish I had the time to actually read but alas I do not and must rely on audio books during my hour and a half commute.
Hate: I spent much of the time being angry that I had to hear the story through this reader. I can normally learn to deal with a reader's idiosyncrasies but even after listening to the entire series I still found myself counting down the minutes to being done with this man's narration. Each time he sucked in breath and licked his lips I would twinge - this alone is hard to ignore. Add to it influxes of pitch at the wrong times and mispronounced words. I will never ever listen to another book read by him.
Also, another small annoyance was the music between chapters. Many times the music would blast my ears at triple the volume of his voice.
In the end I'm happy I got the chance to hear this series but the narration made it feel a bit like punishment.

Narration was much better

I just finished reading this book and wow! From start to finish, from end to beginning, Ted Dekker continues to weave Thomas through successes and failures! On book 1 I was disappointed with the narrator, but he has improved 10 fold by book 3!

Awesome story, a little repetitive

This whole series is a great read! IMO, it should definitely be read in order. This one gets a little repetitive with all the back and forth between being captured and escaping from the hoard enemies. Overall though a masterful series. The performance was annoying because the reader changes the way he pronounces names even from one sentence to the next. And I found the music sometimes too loud. Otherwise great job!

Beautiful Story

Disregard what the naysayers are bleating. This was a beautiful story and it had a beautiful ending. It was full of love and made me want to run home to kiss my wife. It's all we needed.

Couldn't Wait for Book 3: Worth the Credit

If you enjoyed the first 2 books in the series, you will love book 3. I found the pace of book 3 to be faster than that of book 2. I couldn't find good stopping points! This series sold me on the Fantasy genre! Good job Ted Dekker! I found this book wrapped things up nicely and I'm not sure what book Green will add to the series. I'm still trying to decide if I need to get Green book 0. People who enjoy Christian Fantasy will enjoy this series.
