“An instant classic…highly recommended!” —New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst

USA TODAY bestselling indie author Alice Clayton delights readers with the sexy, laugh-out-loud romance of Caroline and Simon in Wallbanger, the first book in the Cocktail series!

The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she’s gaining an—um—intimate knowledge of her new neighbor’s nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy’s athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed “dating hiatus,” and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly…

In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.

From the moment I began reading this book, I was laughing so hard iI forgot everything around me!

Clive, the cat was epic... His love for Purina was epic...and loved his thoughts at the end! Can't wait for the next book and his views about "his people"

OK. Enough about the cat! This was a sweet romance!

I was utterly entertained by Caroline and her quest for 'O' only to find that the one person who could get her rocks off was her next door neighbor aptly named 'wallbanger'

Simon on the other hand, having never been in a normal relationship because of his career finds that banging his 'harem' doesn't do it for him anymore... all he wants is Caroline.

A huge part of the book is comical tales as the two tiptoe around each other... and when they finally get on the same page... they play games..winding them up all for the promise of 'delayed gratification!'

The secondary characters were amazing, the antics and loves stories were touching and a nice bonus...

Can't wait to see what Caroline and Simon do in the next book!

I would say definitely worth a credit.

I enjoyed this book at first because it was funny, although in a rather over the top way but about 2/3 of the way through I got really bored. It just dragged on and I couldn't see where it could go. I didn't manage to finish it.

Started well but then got rather tedious

It felt a little "Friends"ish with the majority of the plot taking place in between two apartments across the hall from each other but all in all this was a cute story that kept me laughing, crying and cheering them on!The narrator did a fantastic job keeping up with the MANY characters in the story. There was no difficulty identifying which character was speaking. And the naughty sounds and noises - well they were downright naughty!! The one negative comment i would have is that the narrator did not sound like her 26 year old character. She sounded more the aged of a cougar, which was distracting at first. I found myself trying to google her name (while listening to the story) so that I could see how old she actually was!

loved it...credit worthy

This book should’ve been titled “How Caroline Got Her O Back!” I think this was supposed to be a rom-com but I didn’t find any of the scenes in the story funny, mostly they were annoying especially when Caroline is in the scene. She’s a really annoying character and she’s the heroine!
Yeah, I had a rough time getting through this story.
Heather Smith’s narration was okay with what she got to work with.

Loved this book! Simple premise of hate at first sight (or hearing) develops into friendship and more. The stream of thought commentary with tangents is hysterical. The prolonged delay in consummating their relationship stretched credulity, given that both partners were adults with many previous partners, but did lead to a lot of verbal foreplay.

Very funny writing and characters
