Publisher's summary

For almost two years now, Kiera’s boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she’s ever wanted: loving, tender, and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together - Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university - everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.

Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source - a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he’s purely a friend she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes... and none of them will ever be the same.

Good read

This should really be a Netflix movie by now. Much better than beautiful disaster. IMO

Rollercoaster of emotions

Wow, this one put me through the ringer. Kiera is a young woman who has moved far away from her family with Denny. Denny is the only man she has ever been with and he is her first love. They move in with Kellan. Kiera is attracted to Kellan.Something happens (don't want to spoil the story) and she has sex with Kellan and the emotional rollercoaster begins.

Other reviews think badly of Kiera but I see her as an inexperienced young woman who loves Denny with a young girls love, but loves Kellan with a woman’s love and has no idea how to deal with this. In my opinion this is so similar to situations to life. Life isn’t black or white, its shades of grey and everyone deals with things their own way. Kiera is on the verge of becoming a woman and she loves two men.

This is a great listen. I was on the edge of my seat, knowing what she should do, wondering what she would do. I felt so bad for Denny, Kellan and Kiera. It is so similar to life. I felt like it was a credit well spent.

Wow,Thoughtless, Deceptive, Cruel but not Boring

What did you love best about Thoughtless?

If you are looking for happiness in this first book stop right now, it left me with really mixed emotions about the whole thing, I felt so sorry for Denny but as hard as you try you end up feeling bad for all three of them. I am going on to the next in hopes that there will be some happiness thrown in the mix.

What about Rebekkah Ross’s performance did you like?

She does a great job with the different characters I did not get tired of her voice and this book is truly longer than the average

Loved It!! When will we see Effortless on here???

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Great story that I just could not quit listening to. A love story that tugs at your heart and your nerves... you want to smack them, hold them and kiss them all in five minutes!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Thoughtless?

When Kellan spilled out all of his feelings for her!

What does Rebekkah Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was good at switching her voice between characters. I have a hard time with that on most books. This narrator did a great job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they finally decided to be together..

Any additional comments?

The audio was terrible on this one. I could hear the narrator fine and she was great but there was alot of background noise going in and out. Sounded like they were taping this in a room of someones house...

Frustrating most of the time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Any additional comments?

It bothered me that these two men put up with her. The timing of days was all off; Denny would be in bed when Kellen and Kiera came home after bar close and they would be the first ones up for coffee in the morning. What is up with that? I guess I didn't like how Denny was portrayed. I didn't like Kiera.

Good trilogy

Would you be willing to try another book from S. C. Stephens? Why or why not?

Yes. While long, it was still a good story.

Have you listened to any of Rebekkah Ross’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. But I know that if she is the orator on any other book that I pick up, it will be a good listen.

Any additional comments?

All three books need a good edit down. It wouldn't change the story, but take out some of the long interpersonal thoughts that drug on and on. Overall a good story, but I had to stop and listen to something else because it went on for so long. I did come back and finish all three stories, it just took a while.

Disliked the heroine but could'nt stop reading

This really is a difficult review.

I cannot remember having read a book in a long time which leaves me like this. i nearly hated kiera, but nevertheless couldn t put it down.
I just wanted to know,if and when her ugly game was revealed.

But the reader has to suffer a lot of guilt and weakness and guilt and weakness and..until finally resolve. I couldn t believe, how the story went on and on, so i kept on reading.

I still cannot understand, why the two guys liked her so much.

and now that its over - i have to read the 2nd book. i think i must be insane.

Review: Thoughtless

Audible Audiobook "Review: Thoughtless"
Would you listen to Thoughtless again? Why?
No - I don't think I would listen to Thoughtless again. It was a very difficult story for me to be a part of. Something about the depth of emotions inside this love triangle was too much for me. It was a very difficult book for me in parts.

Would you recommend Thoughtless to your friends? Why or why not?
I would definitely recommend it. My recommendation would be heavily laced with multiple warnings about the previously mentioned love triangle and about the deep emotional places this could take you.

Which character – as performed by Rebekkah Ross – was your favorite?
I have to say that Denny was my favorite because she didn't butcher the Australian accent. She did a really great job with all the characters but I enjoyed listening to her perform Denny the most.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No - I usually listen on my commute and, if possible I'll try for times beyond that. This book was painful and I don't know if I could have handled it without multiple breaks along the way.

Any additional comments?
I keep mentioning how uncomfortable this book was for me, but I also need to say it was a great story. S.C. Stephens obviously wrote a great book if she could get me that invested in their lives.

**QUOTATIONS**

“You…the only woman I’ve ever loved…ever. You thought I’d toss that out? Do you really think anyone in this world, compares to you in my eyes?”

With a heavy breath, I returned his intense gaze, his eyes smoldering in a way that made me weak. “You wreck me,” he growled, crashing his lips back down to mine.

Selfish!

It was hard to listen to this story because I couldn't believe how cruel and selfish the lead characters were to Danny. If that was the intent of the auther she did a great job.

Too long

Don't get me wrong... I usually like long books to get my money worth but this series drug out way to long and it was driving me crazy. Basically 60 hours to come to the end. However, it is a good book, just to long.
