Story is Eh....Audio is terrible

I like Kellen but the character of Kiera is NOT likable at all. I wanted to hit her over the head with a 2 x 4 repeatedly.

I want to find out what happens to the other characters and to Kellen so I'll buy the next one but this isn't my favorite story.

Didn't like the reader at all.

The background in the audio is terrible and very distracting at times. Audible, whether I'm spending a credit or buying with cash, you really should fix the sound.

Great Narrator- Horrible Heroine

Where does Thoughtless rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Somewhere in the middle... it was fairly enjoyable. I like to have a strong character that I can root for and aspire to be...and Kiara does not deliver. Having said that, the narrator was AWESOME - her Australian accent made me do the fangirl swoon!

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Kiara was whiny, annoying, and constantly stringing these poor 2 boys around. She didn't own up to any of her mistakes and was always blaming someone else. I just couldn't root for her....

Which scene was your favorite?

I can honestly say I didn't have one

If you're looking for something to fill the void until an Audiobook that you really want to listen to comes out this will do the trick- not a complete waste of a credit

Where do you find boys like this

SO Good! loved ALL the characters, the romance the drama! These books were a little long & i had moments where i was easily distracted but still loved it. There were so many times I wanted to reach through the book & somehow smack or shake Kiera but the dynamic of the story was addicting...AND WHERE DO YOU FIND BOYS LIKE DENNY & KELLAN!!!

Again and again and again! I loved the triangle and hoped that Kiera grow and make the right decision.

Kellan & Denny It was hard at time I felt for them both <3

This is my first time listening to Rebekkah and would listen to her again - in a heartbeat she did a great job! I'm Australian and I only picked her up a couple of times.

If you could take any character from Thoughtless out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Easy Kellan!

It inspired me to roll my eyes at all the sobbing and blushing. It got old real quick.

The narration was horrible at the beginning. It was flat, I just imagined someone reading me the book instead of the characters coming to life. Once she got going it was great.

I'm a sucker for rock star romances, this showed up on the $4.95 deal so I decided to pick it up. There was so much sobbing and blushing in this book, I wanted to scream! It got so annoying. Kellan has threesomes and I found it hard to believe that Kellan, Mr. hot rock star and man slut, would wait for Kiera to decide between him and Denny. Kiera scolds him for using the F*** word???!!! Seriously??? I felt really bad for Denny, I hope he gets his happy ending eventually.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews. There was quite a bit that could have been cut out of this book and it would have made it so much better. If it was the book instead of the audio I would have skimmed the pages, or skipped to the end to find out what happens. That being said, I love Griffin and Anna, they make me laugh. There was enough good in this book that I have already purchased the second one. We'll see if I make it to the third.

Addicting!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I didn't want to stop listening! I have looked at this series several times and not bought it thinking I wouldn't care for it. I finally decided to give it a shot, and I am so glad that I finally did! S.C. did an amazing job!! The emotional roller coaster I was on through out the entire series was unbelievable! I laughed a lot, I cried, I even got angry at times and yelled at the room :) You end up feeling like part of the huge family. I couldn't stop once I started! This entire series is worth the credits!

Really? Obtuse doesn't even begin to explain!

Kiera, seems more like a grade schooler, and not a college student! I can't believe one person can be so stupid, and so aggravatingly, obtuse, about one persons feelings. I can't stand her character.
This story upsets me and makes me agitated, I thought a reader should enjoy a good story, but this story is just upsetting. Kiera needs to grow up, and make a decision all ready. Man, I just can't believe Kiera.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

There were some great points in the book, but Kiera's inability to make a decision between the two men was annoying. Half of the story was why she loved Kellen and or Denny and why she couldn't break their hearts. It kept repeating this over and over and OVER! The male and female characters were interesting, sexy, and well developed. The story line was good, the sex was hot, but it shouldn't have taken 20 hours to get to the end of the story.

What could S. C. Stephens have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

If it wasn't so repetitive. I didn't buy the second book due to the repetitiveness in the first book.

What does Rebekkah Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was smooth and seemed effortless in her narration between male and female characters. It isn't Rebekkah's fault, but there was some horrible background noise that was distracting to the narration.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Definitely. Movies can edit content and be able to make a point without having to repeat it over and over again.

Would you try another book from S. C. Stephens and/or Rebekkah Ross?

Very predictable, self absorbed Kiera plays 2 guys so obviously. This is definitely a better read for a young reader.

Love triangle with a D-bag

Denny and Kiera become Kellen’s roommates when Denny takes a new job in Seattle. Kellan watches the tender moments shared between Kiera and Denny. The love and affection that these two have is nothing he’s experienced before in his life. Kellan is a guy who dates girls on the regular revolving door of one nightstands.
Kiera left her family and friends behind to follow after Denny. She’s a dependent individual who needs the constant attention of touch and affection. She’s and innocent and naive character with no dating experience. She’s not a prude in regards to sex, yet she shy about sexual vulgarity.
Kellan was the lead singer of the D-bags. The band had four members: Griffin, Evan, Matt, and Kellan. They performed weekly at Pete’s bar.

Narrator:
Renekkah Ross narrated the entirety of Thoughtless. This was my first audiobook by her. She performed the scenes well, yet I had hoped for a more seductive performance during the sex scenes. I wanted breathy arousal to pour through these scenes. The narrator read the scenes word perfectly.
At times the sound quality wasn’t great. Maybe this wasn’t performed in a sound proof room. It seemed as if the sound changed at the beginning when maybe she started a new day of performing. There was an annoying background sound that could be heard throughout the performance as if a machine was running in the background.
I would’ve liked a male performer voicing Kellen’s sexiness. How could S.C. Stephens deprive her readers and listeners from hearing Kellen’s rockstar cocky seductive voice? It’s truly a pity.

Overall:
I enjoyed the seductive scenes. Kiera’s internal dialogue added an additional layer of excitement.
Kellan had the power of flirting, seduction, and huskiness. While Kiera had the power to destroy two men.
I read this book back in 2013 two years after it’s release. 7 years later I’m revisiting this book with the audiobook. I’m impressed with how well most scenes stayed with me. This story was an epic read in 2013 and great listen in 2020. My opinion on this story has remained the same. It’s still a 5⭐️ read and it’s a 5⭐️ listen.
Thoughtless was loosely based on a rockstar romance with a love triangle twist with cheating. The emotions just poured from these pages. SC Stephens wrote her heart out giving her readers the highs and lows. Kiera was an emotional character who was compassionate and caring. Kellan was a guy who fame in being a singer. He was this attractive guy who was objectified by girls for being in a band. He was misunderstood having guarded his heart while seeking the comfort of a warm body.
Kiera’s character was achingly beautiful to read. Her inability to make a choice and process the situation of being with two men pulled at my heartstrings.
