Narrator Spot On!
I read this book many years ago and enjoyed it, but I forgot the details since. I thought it would be fun to go through it now with someone else doing the reading. I was amazed by Jack Sondericker’s vocalization skills in personifying each character. He was able to give appropriate voice and personality to every one of them; and he was able to shift back to a pleasant storyteller with enthusiasm making the tale almost as if he had written it himself. So, along with the fact that Frank Peretti wrote an outstanding book, Sondericker made this return trip quite fun for me!

An Incredible Read!
This is an INCREDIBLE story! I read it first in 1990, and it changed the way I see people and events. I’ve reread it many times! I even look for it in resell shops, but every copy I find, and I give it out to people who need their eyes opened and their prayer life strengthened.
With the world and nation we are facing today, I got it on Audible so I can listen to it often and be reminded. This reading is excellent, and I enjoyed the “voices” of Mr. Sondericker!!

A captivating story
I listened to This Present Darkness while driving from Arizona to the Midwest, and the audiobook held my attention the entire trip. The story line is believable from a worldly perspective, but the added spiritual element raises it to a whole new level. I could imagine the spiritual battles taking place around us. As a former journalist, I found the old seasoned editor and his junior partner to be believable as well. Peretti brilliantly lays out the story and develops the characters, while the narrator makes them come alive.
