Publisher's summary

From David Wong, the writer of the cult sensation John Dies at the End comes another terrifying and hilarious tale of almost Armageddon at the hands of two hopeless heroes.

Warning: You may have a huge, invisible spider living in your skull. THIS IS NOT A METAPHOR.

You will dismiss this as ridiculous fear-mongering. Dismissing things as ridiculous fear-mongering is, in fact, the first symptom of parasitic spider infection - the creature stimulates skepticism, in order to prevent you from seeking a cure. That's just as well, since the "cure" involves learning what a chainsaw tastes like. You can't feel the spider, because it controls your nerve endings. You won't even feel it when it breeds. And it will breed.

Just stay calm, and remember that telling you about the spider situation is not the same as having caused it. I'm just the messenger. Even if I did sort of cause it. Either way, I won't hold it against you if you're upset. I know that's just the spider talking.

"Like an episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" written by Douglas Adams of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." …Imagine a mentally ill narrator describing the zombie apocalypse while drunk, and the end result is unlike any other book of the genre. Seriously, dude, touch it and read it." –Washington Post

"Kevin Smith's Clerks meets H.P. Lovecraft in this exceptional thriller… David Wong (Jason Pargin) is a fantastic author with a supernatural talent for humor. If you want a poignant, laugh-out-loud funny, disturbing, ridiculous, self-aware, socially relevant horror novel than This Book is Full of Spiders: Seriously Dude, Don't Touch It is the one and only book for you." –SF Signal

A sequel that stands on its own merit

The sequel to John Dies at the End is just as funny and creative as the first book, but more realistic and thought-provoking. The book is far lighter on weird monsters and mind-bending supernatural antics; the story is very human and explored the characters in much more depth. A fine sequel in the tradition of Portal 2 and Toy Story 2.

Reader makes this book exciting, like Dick Hill

Would you listen to This Book Is Full of Spiders again? Why?

I don't think I would listen again,I really never have, but I can't wait for the next in the series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nearly all the non-main characters are given names that accentuate the characters traits or their role, as in fat computer guy, baseball bat man, toothless Joe, etc (these are not actual character names, just an example) and it makes following a larger list of characters much easier.

I guess I like Dave and John the best because of their interactions and friendship.

Which character – as performed by Nick Podehl – was your favorite?

ALL Characters are done outstandingly by Nick, he has a serious talent only second to Dick Hill reading the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child.

Who was the most memorable character of This Book Is Full of Spiders and why?

You get a first person read from the two main characters, Dave and John, so I can't just choose one, but both are excellently portrayed.

Any additional comments?

This is a stand alone book, part 2 of "John Dies at the end" which has been made into a movie and it truly is CAMPY HORROR the kinda stuff found in EVIL DEAD 2 by Sam Ramii. It's a fun ride in the lives of people from the town known as UNDISCLOSED.

If you like a great reader and a book with Zombies and humor, this may be the best book you will ever listen to. Don't pass this one up if you want a good laugh and some twisted humor in the face of zombie annihilation.

Different than the first but still very good

This book has a much different story set up and structure than the first so it has a different feel to it but the story is awesome! Different but definitely still a good sequel and worth your time
