This is a really good story!!
The story started off kind of slowly but then I got excited and just kept thinking "what a great story". I loved the characters, the narrator brings it to life and the story is compelling. I couldn't stop listening and couldn't wait to read the next book in the series.

Can't get laid
seriously there is a lot of cant get laid in this book.
very serious people that cant get laid and if they do... oh its trouble.
But yeah this book was very easy to love.
its got mystery. violence. coming of age. horror. magic. and a bunch of stuff.
it flows well. each story has its own mysteries with characters that are fun to like.
The narration is good, although there are very long pauses between some things. So long i thought my audio paused. that breaks immersion as just as im about to check and see if something is wrong with my phone it starts up again. you know what i mean. but thats pretty minor concern in light of the overall story.
Its got some things it doesnt explain well but as an overall story none of that matters.
it was a lot of fun to listen to..
going to keep this in my library and likely listen to it several times.

One of My Favorites!
Immediately fell in love with the characters. There was a lot of background for each and I loved anticipating how they would interact with each other. I find myself still thinking about them even though I've read other books since then. My mother also listened and loved it as well. We were both satisfied with how the series ended.

Pretty good book
It’s hard for me to get into books. If they don’t immediately catch my attention then I typically drop it and find something else. No problems here. This book will grab your attention and not let go until the end. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I have gotten a number of people reading!
Would you listen to The Warded Man again? Why?
I would listen to this again. I actually started it over when I got my husband to read it. He is now on book two "The Desert Spear" & we are both awaiting "The Daylight War" with eager anticipation. This I must caps, I COULD NEVER GET MY HUSBAND TO STICK WITH JUST ONE BOOK I SUGGESTED... OR ANY FOR THAT MATTER. NOW HIS BEST FRIEND HAS READ IT TOO!!
What about Pete Bradbury’s performance did you like?
The narrator did a wonderful job expressing the emotions & personality of a variety of characters... kudos.
Any additional comments?
I must admit, I almost put the book down in the beginning.. Sorry Peter Brett. But after a short time, I had to keep going... HAD to. This story has the potential to be the next "Star Wars" mixed with "Indiana Jones"..... hopefully it will not get slaughtered into a 90 minute movie. This book alone needs the audiences time, don't get me started on book two. The worst part is I will be sincerely sad when the story finally closes.
