Vignettes
It took me some time to get into this book. The jumping around in time with an older Henry and Young Claire was confusing. However, once I realized that I should treat these "time travels" as vignettes, the book was OK. The plot was very hard to follow and the characters were a little whiney. I enjoyed both narrators. They helped keep me in tune to the time jumps.

WOW
The inter-connectedness of this book is dazzling! Niffenegger is a genius! The story is the story of three people who face real challenges but their challenges are unreal as well. Two of them live outside the grip of time, but that release from the bounds of time also poses extreme danger and trouble for them.

Suspend your disbelief
I really enjoyed this book. Some parts are pretty sappy, but it is a love story told in an original way. The narrators weren't outstanding and sometimes mispronounced words, but they weren't terrible, either. I am a biologist and I had a little trouble accepting the author's biological explanation for time travel. But when you let those things go and accept the story as fiction, it was very entertaining.

Absolutely fabulous!
This is one of my favorite movies and I'm so glad I finally listened to the book. What a gem! This is a long book and will take you some time to really understand what's going on. Once I could follow the storyline, I was hooked. The story is fascinating and made me laugh and cry. Some of the language is pretty crude and extremely descriptive (that I could have done without) but the whole of the story is wonderful. The aspect of time travel has always intrigued me but this story shows the "not so great part" of time travel.
One of the things that made this book so enjoyable were the narrators. Fred Berman and Phoebe Strole were absolutely wonderful. Their inflections and voices transported me into the lives of Henry and Claire. I will definately listen to more books narrated by these two talented voices.

A love so pure
Wow - what an incredible story... I really had no idea what to expect, but this is a beautiful love story that clearly spans a lifetime.
I just finished listening to the story, so it's hard to put into words - a lot of emotions there at the end! ❤️
I have to complement the two readers, as they tell the story with such passion, it feels so real. You can hear Henry and Claire's love for each other.

Surprised that it wasn’t Sci-Fi...yay
I knew this was a best seller but the topic of time travel didn’t interest me so I never seriously considered reading/listening to this.
It is not heavily scientific or philosophical. It’s a well told romance. The characters seem like average people whom I’ve gone to school or worked with.
