Excellent!

This is a wonderful book with relatable characters. It does skip around a lot (different time periods and points of view) but I didn't feel it detracted from the story at all. In fact, I think it helps convey the chaos and confusion the characters must have been feeling. It had a satisfying, if bitter-sweet, end.

Excellent

Fabulous, complex, kept my interest. I loved the way it all came together. Caroline Lee, superb, Went to see what other books Ms. Lee has narrated, surprise I have listened to some of those authors as well. I didn't think a narrator made a difference, it does. I am disappointed when I have exhausted an author on audio and so I try to make the book last. Especially when Ms.Lee is the narrator, Ha,,, only 3 more titles from this author. Sad.

I didn't see it coming...

...and I've never written a review before but felt like I wanted to for this novel.

It took awhile for me to get entrenched in the story but Kate Morton succeeded in doing so. Her creative
conclusion made perfect sense by the time I reached the end - but what a mind-twisting one it was. I thoroughly
enjoyed the journey.

I adore Kate Morton

I adore Kate Morton’s books. She is a wonderful storyteller. She takes you on these journeys through eras . Her stories connect the past with the present in incredibly intertwined ways. Incredibly strong female characters.

The Best Kept Secret

Wow! I never saw that ending coming! It was a wonderful story to listen to and I love the twists and turns from what things appeared to be and what they actually were. Recommend this book!

Intrigued

I liked the way Kate Morton kept me interested by the back storylines. But, at times it was hard to keep up, glad I could go back. It was interesting to see how she brought it all back together.

Hard to turn off!

Struggle at first. Superb story! Will listen to it again! Love that era. Good picture of wartime London.

A Most Excellent Read!!

This is a delightfully well thought out story that kept me wanting more story, but I wanted the mystery to be solved. Great narration.

Awesome book

Never heard of this writer or the book. Just got it because I was looking for a cheap book and it was on sale. It was the BEST book I have ever read! AMAZING! It keep you guessing and ypu think you know what will happen and you will probably be wrong:) So good!!

Really a joy to hear

Loved the way this author uses just the right degree of intrigue leaving the story steadily moving forward without giving away (at least for me) the outcome(s). It helped that I especially liked the characters & how they're developed. Performance was perfect.
