Is this better or Forgotten Garden?

Wow she is an incredible writer. Traditionally these wouldn't be 'guy' books but I couldn't put either of them down. The narration is prefect for this author, that is a given. Three quarters of the way in, I would have said this was better than the forgotten garden. Both books have twisting original plots. However, at a key point three quaretrs in, the book just jumped to a key point and I couldn't figure out how it got there. The rest of the book was excellent, though I did feel it could have been cut down. I am a person who returns more books than I finish. But this books, as well as the forgotten garden I just could not put down.

Hated to end!

I love how the book folds all the different years together over and over again while continuing to develop and change the story as it comes to the end. And never ending the way you think it's going to be either, always one more twist to keep hooked until the last word. Love this author, so glad my husband found her!

Loved it!

The story was phenomenal!! As I always do, I keep trying to guess what is next; however, I was wrong at every turn!

The minor, very minor, is that I thought it dragged a bit in the end; but I can see why it was long: it was the grand finale!!

Beautifully written and read!

Gets better and better

As I began listening to this book I felt a little lost and thought great this ones going to be one of those I have to just power though. However as the story continued to unfold I was more and more intrigued. The twists and turns kept me excited to get back to listening.

Phenomenal

I fell in love with the complex characters, fascinating settings, and twists and turns. At the end I couldn’t bear to turn it off!

Wonderful story!

I highly recommend this thoroughly enjoyable book and the voice actor who read it. The plot had a couple of twists I hadn’t expected, culminating in a completely satisfying ending.

Great story

A little slow at first with very descriptive character development. But about chapter 22 it get very interesting. Loved the ending.

So many stories within this book!

I love the rich characters and their full bodied back stories. I also enjoy the true history interwoven in the book. Highly recommend.
