Awesome Storytelling
It is not often that writers are effective in telling a story that cover different time periods and weave expertly between the past and present without losing the reader along the way. Well, Ms. Morton weaved a story that expertly transitioned between time periods and provide rich and well developed characters. Also, the narrator was a pleasure to listen to for nearly 20 hours. The whole production was really well done.

A surprising delight!
I have to admit, the cover art on this one almost kept me away. It looked like the kind of supermarket romance novel I don't usually go for. What a surprise! The writing, story, and characters kept me listening and drinking it in.

What a fantastic story! Surprising.
I really enjoyed this one!!! Was a lovely story where things certainly were not as they seemed and really full of surprises!
I loved the character development and the different views of them as the chapters rolled on ... Just when I felt I knew what they were like as people, the situations and exchanges between characters would change like 180 degrees!!
Not your typical doomed lovers story, nor happily ever after story either. Sooooo much changes throughout the entire book!

Great Book
I really loved this story and all the twists and turns. it is quite lovely and can't wait to listen to more books by this author. The reader was fantastic and drew me into each character.

Phenomenal must-read
I am so sad this book is over! What an amazing story of love and loss and strength and mystery. It’s a bit slow to start, but after I finished the first chapter, I was hooked and listened nonstop. If you’re considering listening to this, just do it. You won’t regret it.
