Very Enjoyable!!

What did you love best about The Scottish Prisoner?

The characters and their actions are intelligent and well thought out. The overall story captivated me. Despite the fact the story is a serious mystery, there were parts that made me laugh aloud. Others that made me giggle. The dialogue is witty and intriguing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Scottish Prisoner?

Where Jamie calls Lord Grey by his Christian name, "John." The interaction between Jamie and Lord John before the dual where Jamie makes it clear to Lord John that he respects him and reconfirms their friendship.

Which scene was your favorite?

Enjoyed the entire book. Couldn't stop listening

Any additional comments?

Readers will enjoy this more if they have read at least the first two Outlander novels.

Worth the read!

Rather slow start but builds momentum and has a great ending. Highly recommend. Try it.

Loved it!

I love John Grey and Jamie! My only complaint is that the two books I have read from this series are just too short.

Stutters and Repeats

While it has been great to hear about Jamie's life between Ardsmoor and Clare's return, it would be much more enjoyable were there none of the clerical errors that caused the narrator to stutter and in several cases to repeat words and phrases. There are a couple of times it seemed the narrator also repeated entire sentenses. I noticed too that the author, in two occasions misrepresented the story line by attributing action to one character that was obviously meant to be the action of the other. Again having read all the previous books prior to this one, I found myself a bit confused when the time line was interrupted by characters and events that failed to fit properly.

Amazing Book in an Exceptional Series!

The Outlander series has captured my attention like no other. It is intriguing, engaging, and well written. It is so easy to let go and see characters play out their stories in my mind. Davina Porter is the perfect narrator for this rich tapestry. Her melodious voice and insightful interpretations of the characters leads to an immersive listening experience. Perfection! “AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY”

Lord John and Jamie Fraser

What made the experience of listening to The Scottish Prisoner the most enjoyable?

I'm an avid reader of the outlander series and thoroughly enjoy reading the obstacles that were placed in the way of my favorite fictional Scot, mainly Jamie Fraser.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Scottish Prisoner?

When Jamie was present to the Earl and just fainted. Jamie thought he was going to atone for his actions during the rebellion.

What aspect of Jeff Woodman and Rick Holmes ’s performance would you have changed?

The voice of Jamie Fraser. After Davina Porter's performance in all the novel, I found theirs severely lacking in this novella.

Any additional comments?

Re=record with Davina Porter.
