    "Thought Provoking"
Where does The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very highly and I will definitely listen again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Maybe the Mistletoe Bride, but really my favourite was the Kate Mosse herself. I was extremely interested in listening to the author's notes.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I wouldn't say an extreme reaction but most of the stories evoked emotions within me.

    Any additional comments?

I loved the author's belief in the importance of history as told through the lives of everyday people, rather than solely political or royal figures.

If you could sum up The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales in three words, what would they be?

    superb gothic stories

Who was your favorite character and why?

Every story had a character you wanted to know about. Some genuinely moving stories. I enjoyed Kate Mosse 's personal insights.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Sian Thomas has a gorgeous voice, nothing overdone just gorgeous

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I enjoyed the atmosphere that the music brought to bring it together.

    Any additional comments?

This is a perfect winter listen, I shall listen to it many times.

    Story
    "Refreshing"

I really enjoyed most of these stories and found them quite enthralling, one or two were a bit uneventful and similar to other stories but most very original and intriguing.
I have never read anything by Kate Mosse before but this has made me want to read some of her other books.

    "Beautiful collection"

This is a lovely collection of short stories with haunting themes not, I'm glad to say of the haunting variety, but more mysterious. All of them were beautifully written and well read.

"Great read, keeps you wanting more."
Where does The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really enjoyed these stories, coming from many countries you really hear quite a few different tales. This rates quite highly in my listening experience.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales?

The Mistletoe Bride story was new to me, I really enjoyed it and it does make you think.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I did like the story of the man having a car accident and the subsequent story once he had picked up the injured party.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Now you didn't expect that did you.

    Any additional comments?

Kate Mosse certainly does know how to tell a tale, on the strength of her Labyrinth books I've just visited Carcassonne and could see how it inspires her. I did feel I knew the area and some of these tales could have been written about the area. Well worth frequent listens.

"One story is just like the next."
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The mistletoe bride was enjoyable - unfortunately the following bored me.

What could Kate Mosse have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    More variety on the stories.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

    Nothing

Do you think The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    No

    Any additional comments?

This is the 4th book I have 'read' by Kate Mosse. I really loved Labyrinth and Sepulchre however all of Kate's books seem to have the same back ground and the south of France setting gets boring.

    Story
    "Mystical, atmospheric, perfect for Christmas..."

...but ..... I've removed one star for the author's notes delivered after each story, which more than slightly spoiled the atmosphere created by each of these very well written and well delivered stories. If there was any way these could be optional, e.g. together as a chapter at the beginning or right at the end?

I have loved reading everyone of Kate Mosse's books but this was the first book I listened too and for me it was one of the best.

What other book might you compare The Mistletoe Bride and Other Haunting Tales to, and why?

    The Winter Ghost

The tone and quality of her voice.
