Is there really such thing as a lucky charm? The hero of Nicholas Sparks's new novel believes he's found one in the form of a photograph of a smiling woman he's never met, but who he comes to believe holds the key to his destiny. The chain of events that leads to him possessing the photograph and finding the woman pictured in it is the stuff of love stories only a master such as Sparks can write.

It pains me to write a negative review. I just don't like to. But this was an unforgivably bad book, and I feel a responsibility to warn others. I am frankly puzzled by the positive reviews. In the years that I taught creative writing, I don't think any college student ever turned in anything this bad. The writing is painfully trite, the characters are stereotypes, the plot is predictable, and there are more cliches per square inch than I have ever seen on a printed page. I am so sorry I wasted a credit when I have a wish list a mile long. Worst book ever downloaded...or read in any form.
it was odd at times
I was amused by the the book until the last 20 minutes, then it felt like forced drama. I thought the end was stupid and more fore dramatic effect than necessary to the story.
I am sure the movie will be better than the book, sadly most of his movies are better than their book counter part
Another great Sparks novel. Liked development of the characters, very visual images of them. Enjoyed the manner in which story was told. Hard to stop listening to.
This is a great book, you cheer Logan on through the entire story be cause you can't help but fall in love with his character. Thank you for a wonderful read/listen Nicholas Sparks, your best book yet. Can't wait to see what Zac Effron does with the character in the movie.
Like the Notebook, this is a sweet love story. I usually don't read romance (and this would qualify as such). It's very soft and fluffy, if you are looking for that sort of thing. Nicolas Sparks is a good writer. It's just that I am a bit more pro-active when it comes to love.
I enjoyed this book, enjoyed the narrator. Thank you Mr. Sparks for the ending...some of your books make me want to scream at the ending. This is interesting all the way through. I want a sequel to Dear JOhn...I cannot accept the ending. This book is a good read.
This one attracted me since it was about a soldier. I am a military spouse and the other book Sparks wrote about a soldier was really good. I have read most of his books. This one and the one he released before it were just kind of so so. The story line was a little out there. It was nice to read but not one to keep on my shelf for the future.
