Is there really such thing as a lucky charm? The hero of Nicholas Sparks's new novel believes he's found one in the form of a photograph of a smiling woman he's never met, but who he comes to believe holds the key to his destiny. The chain of events that leads to him possessing the photograph and finding the woman pictured in it is the stuff of love stories only a master such as Sparks can write.

I'm a big Nicholas Sparks fan. He wrote some of my favorite books however this one was disappointing. The love story was a stretch and unbelievable. It reads like a lifetime television movie. not impressed. I'd recommend other Nicholas sparks novels but not this one.
Not as good as his other novels. It was too predictable, but was an okay listen if you had no other good book to listen to--I just expected more from him. Maybe he is running out of steam.
I love Nicholas Sparks and again he did not disappoint. The characters truly came to life for me, and the only bad thing is that I began to miss them immediately upon completion of the book. I trust that Sparks will continue to leave me wanting more in the future!
My first Sparks novel. Couldn't put it down. Wonderful use of changing POV. External and internal dialogue flows swiftly like the swollen creek at the story's climax. Loved Keith Clayton's character.
I download books so I have something to listen to when I walk on the treadmill every morning, I couldn't wait to get exercising with this book and didn't want my time to be up! Nicolas Sparks is one of my favorite authors.
This wasn't a "typical" story from Nicolas Sparks. I really disliked the end. He could have done so much more with this book. The narrator is hard to listen to--Guess I didn't like it!
The Victorians, Jane Austen and Anthony Trollup made much of the untold truth. The main charactor who can't seem say something that would prevent all kind of bad things happening until the end when right prevails.
This corny book uses the same device to little avail. The untold truth must be augmented at the end.
THIS BOOK TOUCHED MY HEART, ESPECIALLY SINCE MY FATHER PASSED 4 WEEKS AFTER I HAD HIS FIRST GRANDCHILD. IT MAKES YOU REMEMBER LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE ANGRY ALL THE TIME. AND ALSO TO MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOU FAMILY MEMBERS CLOSE TO YOUR HEART AND TREAT THEM WELL BECAUSE IN THE END THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THERE AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM WILL BE ALL THAT MATTERS. HAVE NO REGRETS!
