Is there really such thing as a lucky charm? The hero of Nicholas Sparks's new novel believes he's found one in the form of a photograph of a smiling woman he's never met, but who he comes to believe holds the key to his destiny. The chain of events that leads to him possessing the photograph and finding the woman pictured in it is the stuff of love stories only a master such as Sparks can write.

Typical Nicholas Sparks

I always enjoy Nicolas Sparks and this is no exception. As everyone else has said, it is a wonderful story that I couldn't put down until I finished it. A true 5 star rating.

Not as Good as The Longest Ride

Decent novel, a love story. Dreadful “music”—the artistic equivalent to banging a garbage can lid with a stick, played so loud you can’t hear the narration. Quick...show of hands, who likes music with their story? Yeah, me neither.

Great Book!

Logan should be a hero to everyone who reads this. Just the kind of guy every girl dreams about. (especially when you've seen Zach Effron in the previews for the movie)
Great love story. I loved all the characters! I probably looked real dumb sitting around giggling to myself at certain parts. The narrator took a minute to get used to but overall i think he did well.

Very enjoyable read.

If you could sum up The Lucky One in three words, what would they be?

Really good story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found the story to be very engaging. I was hooked from the beginning and found the characters to be very endearing. I will say that the ending felt a little rushed and not didn't seem to flow like the rest of the book but it was a satisfying ending none the less.

Made me want to see the movie

I liked it a lot, but it is a very slow narrator and sometimes I got just a little bored. Thats why it made me want to see the movie, as they tend to cut out a lot in order to only keep the esentials. Overall the storyline is very nice though and I gave it four stars for the romanceplot.

He did OK.

Listening while busy

Really enjoyed how the story slowly unfolded and it wasn’t always predictable! Love how you get the three main characters rotate throughout the story.

Great Story by Nicholas Sparks!

What did you love best about The Lucky One?

I fell in love with Logan...what a guy! Like all thee story Sparks books I read, listened to, or watched movies of, this is a love story. While the romance was fairly predictable, I enjoyed getting to watch Beth and Logan fall in love. I think most girls want a Logan to find them...a guy who listens and understands without being pushy or controlling.
Also like all of my Sparks experiences, this one has a sad twist ending. I have always complained that Mr. Sparks kills off a main character in every book. Well, he continues his streak, but as always, I was still shocked at exactly how the played out.
Good book, good narration. Worth your time and money.
