Helping the other O'Malleys through the crisis is taking everything Rachel has to give. When a school shooting rips through her community, she must lean hard against God to find the strength to help the children. For there is more than just sorrow confronting her, there's a secret. One of the students was there. One of them witnessed the shooting. And the murder weapon is still missing.

Hats off to Dee Henderson...wish she had more books written about this family...
The Healer does a beautiful job of wrapping up the story of the O'Malley family. Even so, how about one more book book, Dee? Tell us about the second generation of O'Malleys.
Yes, I've read this entire series a few different times. It's a wonderful story of family & faith
Wonderful story, with twists and turns and spiritual growth.
Danger in the Shadows, also one of my favorites of Dee Henderson.
Cole, easily my favorite, I liked the smokey voice, thought it fit the firefighter experience.
Laughed, cried, jumped up and down!
I really loved listening to this book & my husband even enjoyed it too. We need more of Dee Henderson's books on Audible!!
I'm enjoying the O'Malley series, so with each book my expectations are high. Dee Henderson is doing a great job, so the anticipation makes listening to this series enjoyable.
Stephen and Marcus are my favorite characters in the O'Malley series. Book 6 in the series is all about Stephen and I'm looking forward to his story. I like him because, although he has not found his way, he is a strong character.
The children of the novel. Every time Tom Stechschulte went into one of the kid roles his voice was hilarious. It broke up some of the darkness of the novel and made me chuckle often. Overall, I like Tom as a narrator.
No, I didn't want to listen to this book in one sitting. First, with all the murder of the ex-wife, the school shooting and Jennifer dying in the end. Emotionally, this book was too much for one sitting. You have to be in a great state of mind to enjoy this one, because it was rather dark.
Yes. He does a good job.
I cried at moments in the book that were very touching and heart breaking.
I love this story, although out of all the O'Malley books it is the saddest and I am crying as I write this review. This is Rachel and Cole's story and is the sweetest love story I love both of them and I am so happy that they have each other. Wonderfully written and a must read. Tom Stechschulte is my favorite narrator and in my opinion one of the best if not the best. His voice really makes this audible book.
The reason behind the tragedy was never fully explained. I continued reading waiting on the answer as to what really happened. I was waiting on an explanation of the sequence of events. I was only left with vague innuendos about the tragedy.
The next book in the series
I am just not a fan of this reader.
I wouldn't necessarily cut any scenes. I would add a clearer picture of exactly what happened. Where did the 3 guns come from? Why would one person have 3 guns? What happened first; how did Greg find out; if Tim brought the gun, how did he get shot with it? Those kinds of unanswered questions.
